I’m not a new mom, I’m not even a mom yet, married or in a relationship yet 😂 but guess who watched this video to the very end ?! Meeee🥰 I truly enjoyed it.
I had my second daughter a few months ago and the lesson that most resonated with me here is “you’re not worth less because you’re doing less”. Stepping out of my big girl corporate job to nurture my 2 little girls made me feel like I wasn’t enough because I wasn’t in a 9-5 role but I learnt quickly that God has recruited me to raise His daughters and it is truly a honor.
Lessons I’ve learned as a new mum: 1. Pace yourself. Take it one day at a time. 2. It’s ok to let out the tears when they come but wipe your tears and look at your baby again; it’ll warm your heart. 3. Breastfeeding can be hard sometimes. Exclusive breastfeeding is great but if you can’t, it doesn’t make you less than a mum. 4. Take care of yourself very well. Most people focus on your baby so focus on you. 5. Always ask the Holy Spirit to give you strength. You definitely need it. ❤❤❤❤
Saammmee I’ve taken 2M screenshots 😂😅 and subscribed too Looking forward to more content plus our Happy Ever After (what happens in the ever after) season two 😭😭 I pray PL sees this 🥰
Your second Daughter is me, I prayed for a sister and it took 7 years. When my mum was pregnant, my friend said, what if your mum gives birth to a boy? I said, it's not possible cause that's not what I prayed for😂 My sister is 10 years old.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am a first time mom, had a cs birth. My pregnancy wasn’t very easy and I couldn’t work. This made me feel less of myself. I felt the way to make up for it was to make it my obligation to do house chores and cook food. I found my fulfillment in them. I learnt in a hard way to be easy on myself when I was rushed to the ER a week after delivery and spend 2 weeks there. Although thinking about it, it was a blessing in disguise it was also an opportunity to learn. Can we please talk about the way our body changes as women after childbirth? During the first few weeks, to the months following? I saw my full reflection for the first time after childbirth (6 months postpartum) few days ago and I felt emotional as I couldn’t recognize myself anymore. I am bigger and felt out of shape. Thankfully I got a friend who is also a mum of 2 who talked me into appreciating my experience rather than feeling bad or ashamed. I salute every mum out there! It is not an easy job at all. It completely changes you. I am still learning to embrace and appreciate every part of the process. Thank you PL for sharing your story.
"my house is full" and "my heart is full". This blessed me in no small way! Be careful not to compete/compare with people who are not carrying what you are carrying” Loved this!
Wow I had C-section first pregnancy with my twins, I’ve not rested for a day, I washed myself, sleep less ness, exclusive breastfeeding…God really helped me to be strong. My husband is not in the country, so I don’t even have a shoulder to cry on, I feel like he avoided me…but hey I’m still doing my best everyday, they are 9 months now…praise God!!!! No matter your situation, you can do it ❤
Wow! My first child who is 7 month old was playing with my phone and opened this video. I believed it wasn't a mistake, and I was right! God wanted me to see this video. I literally made my husband watch it with me too!😅 Thank you so much, Pastor Laju! I TRULY NEEDED THIS! God bless you and protect our Baby K!❤
It's PL's smile for me😌. So contagious! Still in my twenties, unmarried, and never had a child, so...I can't relate. But I learned so much from this video. And I will be back to rewatch it again when the time comes. Thank you, PL❤.
As you’ve taught us to appreciate pregnant women and those who just delivered, thank you for gathering strength to film this. We love you so much, PL. can’t wait to be back here next week Fridayy🥹✨
Thank you for this ma, CS is a lot, my mom had CS for all of us and we are three whereas she had another one when she had to remove fibroid and remove her womb totally, I love my mom and want to love her more because she has been through a whole lot. The journey was also easy for her because my dad is always there for her. But I really don't want to go through all she went through. Mummy, I love you and my dad. Thank you so much PL for this.
Not a new mum, not a mum at all😂. But I’ll share what I learnt from spending time with a new mum: 1. Postpartum depression is REAL!!! People need to understand that not everything in your head is supposed to be voiced. New mum’s deal with a lot from body changes, to sleep deprivation, to constant crying sounds…..which can make them “run mad”. 2. When visiting a new mum, Please eat from your house! Don’t expect to see food. It’s funny how people visit new mums and expect to see food. 3. Watch what you say to a new mum. Resist the urge to over-compliment and make silly observations. 4. Help and be kind. Help in whatever way you can.
😂 I just had my baby and I can totally relate. That “You’ll forget the whole pain” thing is a scam but in all, God is faithful. Thank you so much for sharing.
A new subscriber gained! Stumbled upon your page and I'm taken...not someone who is easily impressed/convinced...but I'm literally taken by everything. You're such an amazing storyteller and I love you...I mean, everything about your UA-cam Page. Looking forward to During Ever After Season 3, of course, when you're ready.💗💗💗
I first met you via your blog when you were a mum of 1/just had your second child. To see you grow into the woman you are now is a gift. Thank you so much PL for this video. Love you always. Here's to you showing up more on UA-cam!
Not married yet but I'm definitely saving this video for that time and for when the babies come. And you look so beautiful, PL. Thank you for these wonderful gems you've shared with us, ma.
Dear Pastor Laju, your courage in sharing your experience with postpartum depression is truly inspiring. Your honesty and strength shine through, and your openness will undoubtedly help others. Wishing you continued strength, love, and healing on your journey. You’re not alone. Sending you virtual hugs and I hope I get to make it physical one day.
Thank you, @Laju Iren, for sharing this. I had an emergency CS about a year ago, and oh boy, I did not prepare or know the emotional turmoil I would go through. Yes, the postnatal recovery of CS is such a lot, both physically and emotionally. Yes to boundaries! Especially with visits after delivery. We need to normalise people visiting when the parents are ready. I am sharing my personal story with my community as I echo what you said in terms of us sharing and letting people know the realities around this subject. God bless you 🙏.
"My home is full and my heart is full" PL the part where you said you fell in love as kids and about a decade down the line you have a full home 🥺🥺 I really just thought to myself "God, I want this too". I'll get this too in Jesus name.
P.l thank you so much ma! I’m not married yet but seeing this I learnt a lot and I’m going to go say a big thank you to my sister fir birthing my niece and now I understand her better. This is a wake up call for me . Emphasis on every point especially be kind to pregnant women and ask how you can be of help to them
Watching this video as a preggy taught me so much! I can’t even explain it. So much learning, and correction… every point had a word for me in it and I’m assured that I can do this through Christ. Pregnancy isn’t an easy journey but it’s a privilege I will never take for granted. Thank you so much PL for blessing us with this amazing video ❤️❤️
Not me worried, if I should watch this video because it been an overwhelming season for me .Waiting on the lord for the blessing of the fruit of the womb has been tough.. So I’m trying to guide my emotions 🥹🥹Lol I’m here ! And I enjoyed every lesson WOG! Thank you and a big congratulations 🎉
God is faithful Boundaries Help other women Your heart gets bigger ❤️ I remember crying in the hospital last year after my first child was born, long story. I hope to connect with you more personally since my hubby too recently had a call into ministry, it's been a lot since then but God is faithful. Thank you for sharing ma.
Thank you for sharing with us mom. I love the quality of girls you're raising ma. I hope that sometimes soon, you'll teach us about the parenting tools and principles you use God bless and preserve the Irens. Amen
Am happy u shared ur experience I think C's is supposed to discussed more. I went C's for my 1st child my pregnancy was smooth but having a emergency C's was something I didn't expect bcoz I laboured for over 48hrs and I still was hospitalized for abt a month for issues. Omor recovery was not easy at all but now it's a testimony
I think it is beautiful how some of these lessons are applicable in life and friendship. "To be there for people is a gift." Thank you PL! Love you loads!
Congratulations once again, PL❤🎉 I would like a video of you and Pst Emmanuel especially on his own view or experiences as a new dad and how he balances it with ministry and other aspects of his life and family
“People don’t know what what carrying, but you do. You must be careful not to compare yourself to people who don’t know what you carry” Hmm, thank you PL! ❤
Very insightful video. I like the fact that you talked about CS. I had my two children through CS. My husband said he won't tell his mom perhaps she has her own biases about birth through CS. I also like the fact that you talk about boundaries.
Congratulations mama🎉🎉 now I know my prayers ultimately should be 'lord save both mother and child' and not feel guilty for not saying 'they'll deliver like the Hebrew women' cuz I've seen things in the medical line too 🥺
Being a mum for the second time and also had both kids vis CS i can relate to all you said PL...... thank you for this!!!!! This video really blessed me indeed my heart is full
The vision part is really relatable! I had seen a vision before pregnancy that I should expect a baby boy, but now we are expecting a baby girl. God is not a liar. His timing might not just be the same as ours. Thanks for these lessons PL.
PL thank you for this video. Especially you taking out time to talk about delivery via Cs. I have birth to my baby last year November via Cs and I must say the recovery process has been a journey. My son is 7weeks and honestly it’s been a beautiful journey he is my first and I have learnt to sacrifice a lot more, I barely sleep on some days but I’m so happy each day I see him. I’m also glad to have great support system because I don’t know if would have cooped
Please don’t forget to like this video

I had my second daughter a few months ago and the lesson that most resonated with me here is “you’re not worth less because you’re doing less”.
