I wish I saw this a couple of years ago when I attended my first Polish wedding! It was a wonderful 2 day affair that I think everyone should experience at least once! I hope to be invited to another wedding one day. I've never seen so much vodka!! :)

It was your first Polish wedding, but I hope it wasn't the last :) In which region was it?

That depends on many factors. The venue, the number of guests, the month, the dishes, the decorations, the DJ or band, the bride's dress and so on. But my guess is that a wedding for 100 people would cost somewhere between 20 000 and 50 000 Polish zloty.

Just saw your wedding video. I’m Polish American, 2nd generation. All the weddings I’ve attended have the “veil dance” where the bride removes her veil and replaces it with a headscarf- babushka. Then everyone, one at a time, “pay” to dance with her. At the end of this dance, the groomsmen form a ring around the bride and the groom must break through and steal the bride away.
Is this a local tradition here or also practiced in Poland?
