Spoilers for season 4 You know after finally getting to see the size of Kralkatorrik I have the most respect for Blish and the bravery he had, such a tiny Asura meeting face to face with that behemoth and a brand storm. RIP little buddy.
Recently played season 4 again. And watching the vision Aurene has with all the different outcomes resulting in her death gave me massive goosebumps as this theme plays in the background. Such an epic song and it really captures the moment well.
Mordremoth Theme.. Kralkatorrik's theme.. And of course 'Fear not this night' When it comes to soundtracks in a game.. You guys are just Rank 1.. Anet rocks..
The theme is so beautiful, portraying the menace that Kralkatorrik is while having an epic melody But I wonder what's wrong with the volume inconsistency during the video x)
With every note I feel the suffering. Kralkatorrik has allready won. So it seems. Why do we fight, when we know, that there is nothing we can do? But wait. There is a little light in this song. A little light, when I see myself on the back of Aurene, riding against all of what is determined. We will change what it is about to come. We have to. At least we must try. - For me, this is the most emotional song in this series. It's not about winning. It's about all the losses and the tiny chance of change. If you played through the story, you have suffered so much, that this song is the one that rewards you. I simply love this masterpiece. 🙂
In the span of one episode, ArenaNet had us going from hating him to sympathizing with him. Unbelievable writing and mad respect for how we as players evolved our view of elder dragons as enemies we must destroy to sentient, cosmic level elemental beings that felt, thought, and behaved differently. Well done.
Love how in this art there is a city (Gandara, The Moon Fortress by the looks of it) which is actually not noticeable at first glance showing the true scale of Kralkatorrik and how huge he is. The largest of the Elder Dragons. We don't actually confront Kralkatorrik at Gandara, anyone know if this is fan art or made by Arenanet? I would like to know what the whole purpose of this art was and if it was tied in to any cut or planned content.
No I think Primordus is suppose to be the biggest based on the scale on the wiki, also if we include mordremoth being the entire maguuma jungle(counting what he actually controls)...well lol those dragons are huge, also this is cool art would also like to know ifs it fan or Arenanet
@@chad-mn5tx I don't know if they have changed their plans since launch. However what I do know is before the launch of Guild Wars 2 certain Arenanet developers on the lore of the game came out and said that Kralkatorrik was indeed the largest of the known Elder Dragons at the time (which included Primordus). This is taken from his wiki "He is a thousand feet tall and his wingspan easily blocks out the sun, and is described as being about 20 times larger than his scion Glint." His sleeping body also cuts across three maps in Guild Wars: Eye of the North. We've not seen another elder dragon so far in Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 which has taken up so much space. As for the main antagonists, yes I hope we get more main villains like Balthazar. This is why many people including my self were more interested in the story behind the antagonists in Guild Wars 1 than Guild Wars 2. They had personalities, these Elder Dragons do not.
@@Hezzai They Still have the mysterious deep sea dragon though. They will have to find a way to deal with him first before they can finish. My current theory will be that Season 5 will be about learning that dragon's secrets (since we only know he exists) and the next expansion we deal with him.
Mordy fight is twofold: Mind battle and Vegetable battle in Dragonstand. It's mentioned that the events of Dragonstand happens while the Commander is attacking the mind.
This music make me feel nostalgic the times when I got the Vision achievement but can me think what Kralk feeling while was been defeating. He call his mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mother!!!!!!!!! Anet give it the best work of the whole game. Really need an Award for it
Listening to this song while fighting him and hearing Glint speaking about Aurenes and Krals vision and her own legacy made it all an epic fight for all the money.
I origionally thought kralk was a Chinese dragon in appearance, with the brandscar looking like a snake and all, while I am sad that it isn't true, what we got wasn't that bad.
@@bigmackstar1 That's because Chinese dragons are seen more as guardians/deities/protectors as opposed to their European counterparts. Don't think Chinese dragons aren't strong though, there's a reason why the dragon is the symbol of the Chinese people and they're referred to as "descendants of the dragon" xD
"Grandfather! Look at me!"
Of all the world-ending threats we've faced, Kralk always felt the most real.
Spoilers for season 4

Most epic meta event music and most epic music of the entire soundtrack! Definitely in my top 3!
L7😂ayrhy😂
and then they killed 2 major dragons in 1 shitty meta

It's probably recorded during gameplay, I read a few times that the volume slightly goes down if it's recorded during the story mission "The End"
This is magnificent. I have no words
Yeah,it remains one of my favorite soundtracks, after dark souls III

This music is epic, I can feel the suffering of Kralk when he died. This song is emotional.

Child of my Child
Kralkatorrik fn broke my heart even as I destroyed his. Wow.
the original name of the composition is: maclaine diemer - dragonflight
Ahhh thank u so much♥️
It's ok, Grandpappy Kralk! We're just giving ya a routine acupuncture! :'D
I don't know about you, but Kralkatorrik is fucking scary.
why is it the greates most epic battle theme of all time? it's better than most of the songs in today's culture...
Kralkatorrik's theme, or: When an additional free content is more epic than the battles against Zhaitan and Mordremoth.
The open world meta in Dragon's stand against Mordremoth is good, the story when you fight him in his mind is meh, do the meta.

Mind battle and Vegetable battle in Dragonstand.

Krakatoric felt like an end of an era. A dragon beyond strength, beyond might and you bring him low, clip his wings and bury him under an island.
I really wish I could do the story mode Arah so that I may kill right hand over and over like you can with the other elder dragons
What's with the random volume changes?
Goosebumps

Chinese dragons look so weak though, especially when compared to European dragons
well i thought so due to the dragon brand being a long scar (along with some concept art showing how big he was in comparison to a random ship.

GW2 died after he died.. Icebrood Saga destroyed it all.
LWS4 was the end that Anet had in mind for Guild Wars 2. They all left after that season. IBS was made by a different team.
