I bought some of his albums after this show. Really like his sound. Old school rocker for the win! He did a duet with Floor, Shallow. Spectacular.
He reminds me of Springsteen across most the Beste Zanger 2019 series

Funny enough, my mom loves this song. She turned 65 this summer and she really wanted a CD with many of the beste Zangers 2019 songs. She became a fan of Floor. But she just loves Tims version of Nemo, she even started dancing when it played. How awesome is that!

Best episode is singing too floor. Every song you get to know her better. Every artist shines singing for her. Especialy Henk and emma.
I agree that Henk and Emma did great performances for Floor. I especially loved Emma’s version of “Strong”. However, I hated Tim’s version of “Nemo”.
I hope Beste Zangers will win this year finally the Dutch Televizier Ring!

@@PowerfulReactions you should listen to Rollercoaster from Di-rect, this was years ago (but gives you an idea). Tim Akkerman went on solo and creates more mellow music nowadays

Love to hear a full episode! Tim did a great job... hard to sing Nightwish songs they are designed for singers with the lung capacity of deep sea divers. Earlier on Tim had commented that the music Floor sings is standardly 7 to 12 minutes but they are only given 3:30-4-minutes to sing... so the challenge is to cut back the song without losing what makes it special.

yes, this rendition performed by Tim is faster, as he states it's more up tempo. I believe I read another comment on the original video saying that the songs needed to be within a certain time gap ( perhaps, no longer than five minutes). if the songs were too long, it might interfer with the rest of the programming time, or other commentary might be left out. so it makes sense to speed up any Nightwish song to fit within the programs criteria. I feel like he delivered this one pretty well, and his voice and style works with tempo changed version. Tim is the 'rocker' of this group.

Beste zangers 2019 was awesome...i saw all the episodes and it skyrocketed floors popularity in the netherlands.....other gems from earlyer years are barcelona( kross en christiaan) loose yourself (eminem cover performed by maria fiselier who lives in berlin)...and yeah tims version was more quick and rocky than the original...tim when he was young was leadsinger of the rockband direct( inside my head great song) september 3d will be beste zangers 2020( yes as they recorded in ibiza in march before the lockdowns) not populair singers will attend only one who is well known is sanne( mis montreal, she also used to be a judge at voice of holland) good luck!
Have known Both Floor and Tim's voices for over 20 years. As much as I admire Floor and Nightwish, to me Tim improved this song. Couldn't think of a greater compliment to him.

this show gives artist a chance to show they can do more than only their own style. Did you expect a opera/musical artist do metal , country and some other kinds. in 2018 there was another operasinger doing eminem. this show can also be the start of a career or give it a boost. for floor jansen it was a chance to make the netherlands more known with metal and make her band more known here. same with rolf sanchez. he immediatly said yes when they asked him. no matter what his agenda would be , he knew beste zangers could be a boost for his career.

The only "bad" thing of this show is, that they also sing songs not from the artist them self (except Emma, as she is a cover singer on YT).
They did this in the past. But changed the format over the years

I was not a fan of his rendition, although I am fully aware his options are quite limited given the complexity of the song, so he deserves an applaud nonetheless.
