This album is one of my best if not the best of king Sunny Ade 's music. He is the greatest musician ever live.He is humble, polite, considerate ,God fearing ,and ready to help. Everyday I pray God should grant him long life. Finally, he is an angel in human form. Thank you king for your music , what a talent from God.
Thank you, your musics give me great hope that if only I can work hard as your life history have showed, I will reap greatness as well.I love you with all my heart. I live abroad and hopefully The LORD will make it possible for me and my family to see you when we visit Nigeria.i Pray for you and the band daily. May God continue to strengthen you, your family and the band (amen) There can never be another King Sunny Ade, love you my King.
This record,,mould ma formative era,,,inspired ma senses,,,and broadened ma view of d world around me in d 70s,,,,Though a teenage orphan,,,his music serves as advice and consolation piece thru out ma developmental yrs!,,,,God bless u d King of Afrobeats!
Sunny the Great....Whaoo this classic reminds me of my HSC years and my teenage years .... 1976 ❤ I love it to bits , I can listen to this a million times 🎉
The guitar work in this piece is tremendous. The harmony between the lead guitar, the solo guitar the rhythm guitar, and the bass guitar is the product of mastermind.
Good old days needs to be speak up about does era so that the whole world and young citizens of Nigeria or young citizens of Africa will realise there were Good Times in Africa ..
This was the time we have a country, called "Excellence Nigeria" Economy was evenly distributed. May God brings our glory back, IJN, amen 🙏."Omo Alade ni wa"
I was in form five in the secondary school when this album was released, it was the record that earned KSA the king of juju music in a contest organised by the entertainer news paper a subsidiary of sketch news paper. It was a great one
It was KSA, Chief Commander and Adawa Super King who were 1st, 2nd 3rd. Baba Obey protested saying it was a worldy exercise. this was in 1977, the year of Festac!
Ohhh what a masterful display of guitar playing talent. How did he get this instruments to complement each other while one takes over where the other stopped. Ha Sunny!
King Sunny Ade takes years off as if they don't exist every time I listen to this and other albums. Some guys are just lucky. Sunny, Fela and some others stand immortalised by UA-cam and the internet's generosity.
I am a fanatic but wanted to listen to this as it was one of the few that Sunny Ade can't explain how he put it together. Anyway if the Lord gave you a talent , you will excel. !! Nigeria was really good then !
All hail KING sunny ADE with Bob OHIRI(tenor guitar,Segun ILORI(SOLOguitar),alhaji Tiamiyu(TALKING DRUM)among others. This Album made Oba Lamidi ALAFIN OYO crowned SUNNY ADE as KING SUNNY ADE in 1976 after Bob Aladeniyi left the BAND..Proud to be one of KSA'fans and admirers.Evergreen songs.RIDE KSA..
I was in form five in the secondary school when this album was released. I have never got tired listening to it. It has remained ever fresh. Thank God for technology that has preserved this master-piece. No doubt one of Sunny Ade's best.
This was 1st Sunny Ade LP in stereo release i Dec 1976. It was a sensational one. Many thanks for posting this for our enjoyment. I'm really sorry for today's generation. Nat King Cole.
I strongly believe that this was the album where KSA turned the corner on everyone. It was a masterpiece of vocals and instrumentations. Kudos to the set members and studio engineers.

I was in Primary XI and enjoyed it equally, not least because I had a couple of secondary school leavers living with us who were huge fans!
