@@CocoonsLastHope But that is the whole point, you dont have to fly like that. We have so many mounts to pick from who goes fast, glide, climb, jump and so on. So there is a option for you to get this good or like me just use the mounts as you want without being a master on it.
@@uniquename111 Ark Survival griffin as it’s called on their game has similar movement mannerisms to the GW2 griffon. I noticed that recently, I guess I can play around with that griffon. Especially since you can pull off so many things without touching the ground. Cause you actually slam into the ground but you don’t land on it lol, unless you press space bar. I wonder if perhaps they got the movement idea from Ark, because it really is very very similar. But it’s best to just leave it’s speed alone, increasing it, makes it look ridiculous, especially if you press the sprint button. But increasing the speed and not using sprint it’s cool. But than you can’t do those manoeuvres as they activate on sprinting. I kinda prefer the Ark one at the moment, I guess cause no matter what it actually flies and I don’t need to climb up stuff. I can just keep performing stunts over and over and have continuous fun.

I've never met or even seen anyone in game who can do this, only on YT vids. As with so many MMO game mechanics, WoW does flying better, it's not innovative the GW2 mounts but it's the best balance of accessibility and fun for the broadest audience of players (And this is from a dedicated GW2 player, I don't even play WoW anymore).

Amazing flying as always! I just started the game last year November and had the luck of bumping to one of your vids in reddit, after which I practically made getting a griffon my target! Exactly 3 weeks in in having one, I've been flying pretty much everywhere I can. Meta trains, map comps, dailies-- and it's just wonderful to be honest. I even catch myself chilling in a map for at least an hour just to fly around and I love it. The short of it is, thank you. :)

I can't do precision flights on the Griffon but just being able to fly across maps at ludicrous speeds makes Griffon my favorite mount. Also, I approve of Northern Feather Wing. Classic Griffon design ftw
This is the last thing I needed to convince me to prioritize getting the griffon over the scyscale. I'm aware that learning how to fly is gonna take a long, long time, but I hope I will stick to it. I'm pretty hyped right now :D
I don't know if you have a photographic memory to memorize every detail of the map, or if you have superhuman reflexes to react to everything super quick... But honestly I think you have both
It's actually very similar to aiming in a FPS game. You train your muscle memory and you fly a certain path a lot of times. Sooner or later you know that path and how to react. It takes a while but its super fun ♡ thank you!

So many maps with potential. There really should be a community race creator where players can create new race routes for others to try for fun and beat each others record. A mini racing game within the game.
Practically speaking. Griffon gets you to point a-b faster than your HDD can load (also useful for quickly scouting a map for events). But a skyscale can be maneuvered freely thus more convenient. But that does not stop me from climbing a high point and fly around the map just for fun.
Yeah tbh i never understood why would people praise skyscale over griffon. That dragon is basically a rabbit (2nd mount) with wings. Has its precious, but griffin is always the primary mount - no other choice. It's also the best mount for travelling through rugged terrain which raptor, and rabbit or skyscale are just too slow with gaining height for little (for them) hindrances. I'm honestly surprised there was no footage of Desolation. Narrow lava canyons, caves and turns - no? Maybe i missed it or it's just not challenging enough for such a pro? Either way, this clip felt very good :) Thank you for flying for us! ^^ I also can't help but wonder if there are any tournaments you guys do? Competing each other or another guild? Would've been nice to see (i'm way too bad to participate) in action ^^
On a completely unrelated note, I would like to see gw2 add an expansion where something like an underworld exists and gives rise to demons and stuff, and you can play as a demon as well, and more mounts like a flying snake and shi ifygwim
I'm getting my skyscale soon but I'm not sure why it's so great compared to the griffon. I love my griffon, there's so much you can do with it if you know how.

Orpan, this is seriously impressive, thank you. Could you possibly do a video or write a little on your key settings and camera settings and how you control your griffon; are you using the keyboard and mouse or just the keyboard? I always find it hard to dive down, flap, turn, adjust the mouse to stay behind the action - it just seems overwhelming. Also a brief spec of your computer would be nice. I have a seriously bad graphics card - a Radeon rx 550 which is terrible but I'm grateful I can at least play the game (as long as I stay away from heavily populated events like major boss fights)
I consider myself a master gryphon pilot, but the stuff you pull here.... ....I could maybe do 5% of what you can do, and only if I have an absolute peak performance day... Salute!

How do you do the "hover" trick please? I know it was not in this vid but you seem to know whats up. Its the wing flap over and over to stay in place without using bond of vigor.

Then I saw the Only Zuhl jumping puzzle entrance :D The rest of the places are pretty recognizable so I think I got them right :P
Love how the mounts have weight and momentum, probably the best mounts in any MMO I've seen.
