Something that I realized while reading the Artifact Description … the name of the artifact changes to “Tale of the Good-Hearted Witch” We see from the artifact set itself that, this Witch has many items decorated with Golden Butterflies. And the little girl picks up a book with Golden Butterflies. The artifact set is originally called “Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods” however … we don’t really see or witness these Nighttime Whispers, the only time Night is ever mentioned, is when the little girl tells her dog, “Let’s tell this story to Mother tonight.” I believe “Mother” is the Witch in the story, and this also suggests that the little Girl is the Good Hearted Witch since it is rather likely for the Mother to teach her daughter some of her Family Witchcraft.
I think it's Alice's story. Klee existence means the "boy" found her. She travel through the many worlds inside the bottle and don't stay near the beloved to don't bring her "bad luck" to them.
i also feel like the witch in the story was nicole but made me think it had something to do with andersdaughter since she's an author and her books seem almost like allegories to bypass irminsul changes. i hope we get more info about it in the future either in an event or a world quest
I get heavy Andersdotter vibes from the book. We know she wrote The Boar Princess, so maybe she even authored this book too and could’ve been the witch. Then again, the witch could’ve been another Hexenzirkel member and Andersdotter just turned the story into a storybook (Irminsul erasure backup plan, mayhaps?) I’m a big fan of the method of hinting at future lore in the form of a fairytale so I really loved learning about this!
I would much rather believe that this ink bottle alludes to Alice. Since she too granted that hydro eidolon her own bottle world no? Golden butterflies as well remind me of the golden crystalflies that Albedo has. Unless I'm misremembering, this makes more sense to me.
I actually think there's two different two stories here. One is of the Witch and little girl reading the story. The other is the one happening within the book. I think that the book is the Witches favorite passed event that she wrote down to keep and share with her daughter/granddaughter or apprentice. The story about two people who showed real love. I think the butterflies on the cover symbolize both the journey and hint at the end of the story. Butterflies generally represent new life and or love. So , I choose to believe that the boy followed the girl into the bottle and found some happiness together. As to the butterflies absence afterwards? Perhaps, that was the price the boy had to pay to be allowed to follow the girl. Maybe once someone else read or learned of their story, either they were free or even a darker fate maybe.
very good work on this one! it still wont leave me that the artifact set perfectly matches navia not only visually but also for her kit. soo isnt it possible the girl was her mother and the boy her father? even tho its said her mother died during navias birth idk the set just look too fitting for navia lol
Ever since we learnt about irmensul manipulation I’m suspicious that every storybook is someone’s attempt at allegorical record keeping lol

Pity doesn't have anything to do with losing the 50/50. Soft pity is around 75 wishes, but you can lose the 50/50 before that

the golden butterflies make me think of rhinedottir as well as the color scheme, however the rest of it doesnt seem to fit
