AliEvaMari good grief, right? No shit who the hell wants a man like that. Someone who is completely insecure and very, very very sad. It’s no excuse but it is a reason.

Tammy was my mom’s childhood best friend. I met her and Sidney both once when I was little, and played with her kids. I remember always being jealous seeing her family’s Disney pics on my mom’s Facebook. I also remember going back to my childhood home in Horry County and seeing the Heather posters and banners everywhere. The landing was 10 minutes from my house. Chilling.
Tammy likely had mental illness issues. Heather sadly was on the other end of it. They both killed her. So it's good they got some type of punishment .
From another recorded interview, Heather's mom said that Heather went to high school with Stephen and they had reconnected on social media. So this was not just some social media hookup. Also, that date night had been dinner, movie at mom's where he lived, then, Xmas lights and stick shift training. So with him, Heather was just a young girl hanging out. Pregnancy may have begun to bring her back to reality. Unfortunately that new life was the beginning of the end for Heather, thanks to the murderous pair, Psycho Tammy and the Cheater (second affair, at least).
@@mtaylor7307 the key to this whole thing is the relationship between the line backer wife and the submissive husband....the husband clearly has these affairs to trigger the wife...it is her reactions he craves...or he wouldn't have these relationships out in the open...everyone looking...and he wouldn't put up with his wife's reaction...unless he was provoking it...what man would let his wife chain him to the bed?..especially since this wasn't his first affair and he would have known what to expect........ sadly the truth is this young woman was killed.....because she just didn't have the experience and or intelligence to understand what she was really involved in..... and BTW....going right to murder is very rare....this couple has harmed other young women...you can bet on that
Jesus imagine being Steven in this case, you _just_ met this girl and next thing you know you're wrapped up in a missing person/murder investigation. Good lord.
The detective said the car was pristine. No sign of a struggle. It appeared Heather left the car with her phone, purse, and wallet, and (according to the detective,) “[it] waited for her to come back, but she never did.” The car was also searched before her father took it home. The car being found was actually what made her father report Heather as a missing. Oh, and not only did the security cameras capture Sidney & Tammy cleaning the truck, but burning the rags. Totally normal behavior. And there IS evidence of a murder, but it was not permitted to be called such in court (as it was no longer a charge.) In the 2019 trial, Sidney’s cousin testified that after the disappearance he saw a photo of Heather on Sidney’s phone. They were not allowed to say she appeared to be dead, so the prosecutor asked, “Having seen that photo, do you believe that the Elvis family will ever see Heather again?” To which the cousin replied, “No.” These people are awful and right where they should be.
I think they found out she was pregnant and they killed her. Sydney probably lured her saying he wanted to meet but Tammy was there too. I think they killed her.
He probably didn't know what to think when a beautiful 20 year old was saying that she creams herself thinking about him... Especially when you consider who he was married to.
How can Tammy be more pissed at the chick her husband was screwing rather than the husband that cheated on her? Heather didn't owe her loyalty. Her husband did.
Some women are so desperate they would screw a horse if it was a male and brought them a stick of hay... So when their husbands/partners want to leave them or they cheat they get mad over the other party not their partner 🙄. They should have some respect for themselves really...
It's easier to be angry at someone you don't know than someone you know well. You excuse those you know and love easier than a stranger who hurts you or your family. It's human nature. I understand the feeling of loathing and hatred for the woman who came in and tried to/did destroy your home/family. In my eyes, both my ex-husband and his ladylove's actions were scummy. It was years ago, and I'm happy to have moved on, but my son grew up without a father. I struggled as a single mother. SHE knew he was married with a baby and yet went ahead. HE saw a pretty single girl flirting with him and longed for a life of "freedom and fun" rather than the "responsibility" of a wife and baby. SHE cheated with a married man after meeting his wife and baby. HE was a married man who broke his vows instead of remaining loyal to his wife (mother of his CHILD!) and new baby. Both pretty scummy. My emotions towards her were just anger, towards him, hurt and betrayal primarily, anger secondarily. I didn't have any desire to harm either of them. I had a baby to raise. That was my focus.
She wasnt the type that could ditch him and find a new one to live with her crazy. Her only choice was handcuff and protect this one who was dumb enough to be with her...rare breed
Thank you for covering this. Her sister went to high school with me, and I graduated with her cousin. I had a lot of mutual friends with Heather. It's been a terrifying case in my community with little justice for her.
What is even worse is after receiving threats from Tammy via Sidney's phone, Heather still tried to call him. It's entirely possible only Sidney caught wind of Heather being possibly pregnant but with her trying to call his cellphone, it was also possible Tammy became aware.
@Andy Richards thats right she was just a young girl not an expiereanced player in this kinda shit. So who could blame her. Hes the one that dropped his drawers. " it was just a bj" , and she got pregnant orally? Its a friggin miracle.
@@user-yp5fp8gn7o I find it disturbing you refer to women, and their sexual advances as "pussy calls". I also find it disturbing that you seemingly remove all personal accountability for choices, and actions based upon sex, and age. Lastly I find it extremely disturbing that you have children......
Tammy freaked out when seeing Heathers sister in court because they look almost identical and that to me is evidence of her guilt thinking she saw the girl she helped kill.
@@_TOD33 I think it's interesting about the reaction to Heather's sister. Now, you are entirely right, this reaction isn't an indication of any guilt on Tammy's part. It could have been that she thought she was seeing double. You know how people have that reaction when they think they see somebody that resembles another person they know? Maybe that was the reaction Tammy had. It is interesting to me though. Usually, those sorts of glances last a couple of seconds because then the brain does its job and you realize that this is not somebody you know at all.
I watched both of their trials. Tammy was so defensive and rude. The prosecutor did a phenomenal job cross examining her. Tammy’s true colors came out. 😂😂

A 20 year old is a woman....not a young girl, and also old enough to know right from wrong. It's not right what they did to her but what she did was also not right. @@akairiko3366 read my original comment again. It's not right that it happened but living a certain type of life leads to certain consequences. We all have options to make choices. Those choices lead to action resulting in consequences and effects. Normally you wouldn't expect to get killed after having an affair but that possibility is always there. So why put yourself at risk? Running with cartels doesn't always lead to death but can lead to death for some. Both are risky choices, so if there is a negative outcome no-one should be surprised. Stop making excuses for shitty behaviour. We don't live in a utopia, and at the age of 20 both her and that man knew right from wrong. So did the wife whom most likely contributed to her death. As they say, water finds it's own level/birds of a feather flock together. It's possible to be a victim and responsible for being in that situation due to your own choices.
@@danielchaboya4784 then that interpretation is on you, not me. We don't live in a world full of rainbows and candy floss unfortunately. You can control your own behaviour but not that of others. Both her and the husband knew right from wrong. The wife also is old enough to know the difference. They all made choices and have to live with the after effects of those. If you leave your door unlocked the chance of someone stealing from you increases. If you on top of that spread the word that you normally leave your house unlocked the chance of theft from your house increases tenfold. In a picture perfect world no one would be tempted to steal from you, but that is a dream scenario.
@MrAsap2000as The girl had no obligation to the woman. She did not make the vows. Besides which, a man cannot be stolen, because a man is not a possession or an accessory, despite psycho females treating them as such. The man acted on his own free will.
@Bigfoot but remember the old saying: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." This is the exact reason why those words were uttered. It's an age old reaction.

That first date with Steven, looking at neighborhood Christmas lights and learning to drive a manual transmission, that's the best kind of first date. I love dates like that. There's enough of a "thing" to look at, but not so much that you can't talk to the other person and learn about them. That guy, Steven, may have been a keeper. A shame we never got to find out if it'd have worked out between them.
I’ve had a couple. They were rather fun. I knew they wouldn’t push commitment, because of their marital status. Admittedly, I was young and thought with the wrong head at that time. I’d never do it now.
DestyNova For me it was the fact that they wouldn’t push the commitment angle. It wasn’t really the forbidden part. Actually the times I did it, their spouses never really came up. It was just a nice, physical thing.

I think a lot of people are interested in the psychology behind this stuff. That's why these channels are pretty popular and there are so many movies and TV shows about criminals. No reason to be disgusted with yourself for it. You're a normal human.
I keep waiting for a lighthearted video where it would be appropriate to ask what happened to his bird shirt. I want to know, but it is never the right time to ask about the bird shirt.
@Dustin Wind There's no reason to be disgusted with yourself. This channel, and others like it* are incredibly useful for keeping the victims' stories alive, which is hugely important. They have to be entertaining to a degree, or hardly anyone would watch them. If it was just a series of facts, with a mawkish or morose delivery, they would still be interesting to some, but nowhere near the numbers @That Chapter draws. Humour in the videos tends to follow the same pattern - sarcasm or shade aimed at the accused or convicted, (or occasionally at the police, lawyers or the judicial system) - never at the victims, who are treated with respect, while Mike also throws in the unexpected witty quip, (the robot gag for instance.) without overdoing it or coming off as crass or disrespectful. The true crime genre is incredibly popular for a reason - people will always be interested in the psychology of serious crime - it allows us to enter into a World we'd want to keep at a distance, and for good reason - it certainly doesn't make us bad, disturbed or depraved - merely curious. The mere fact that you've asked the question shows that you are a decent, caring person, and that these stories affect you - you've got nothing to be concerned about. *When I say "others like it", I mean others in the true crime genre - I don't mean that Mike is following a pattern or that there are many others of this quality. There are other excellent channels, but Mike has hit upon a fantastic formula.
Really not digging how Tammy claimed she didn't care about Sidney having extramarital relations, but then in the exact same Facebook post, calling her a psycho wh*re and a h*e. She says she doesn't care an awful lot of times for someone who can't shut up about the woman her husband cheated on her with. Heather should probably not have pursued a man she knew was married, but Tammy and Sidney Moorer killed her after she stopped seeing him. They're exactly where they belong. Rest in peace, Heather.
@@Csnich96 Yes - when I don't care about something I thought the correct sentence was "I couldn't care less" because "I could care less" implies that you DO care...
For real - talked about them having an "open marriage" when she'd lock him up at night to keep him from sneaking out lol. "Open marriage" is a consensual, honest thing: not sneaking around, and often involves a "check with spouse first" sort of deal.
This case is infuriating. It feels like all the answers are there, but the one thing missing to put them both away for murder is a body. The Elvis family deserves closure by knowing what happened, for certain.
Abigayle Morris I think Tammy was behind it all. She seemed really controlling and a bully. She probably made him make the call on the pay phone. Luring her. Probably made Sydney do the murder too.
Brandon Ross What is he, a child? He wasn't MADE do anything. He's just as guilty as she is. Look at him lying through his teeth in every interview, smiling and acting like he didn't murder someone. Vile.

I always find this so crazy to see run across my recommended because I grew up near this. While I didn't personally know Heather, her family is extremely vocal about wanting to bring her home. Tammy and Sidney definitely did this. It's not even a question. I believe she is somewhere on the side of swamp on the way between home and Florida. Her family still holds vigils for her every single week and they are desperately trying to find her. It's so freaking sad.

You're so so right. And, even if he genuinely didn't care for Heather, bless her, to (more than likely) kill his own child, I hope he thinks about it every day for the rest of his life. Sounds like he led her on a treat. Such a shame. Such a gorgeous young lady, with everything ahead of her.
She claimed to be in an open marriage, yet she was very threatening to Heather to stay away from her husband. He said when “his wife found out.” Shouldn’t be a problem in an open relationship. He said his wife asked heather to meet with her and an attorney to get a divorce. You don’t need the other women to come with you to get a divorce-especially in an open relationship. They are chronic liars!
She was making that up to make it like she would had no reason to do anything. That or he wanted one and she went along, but hated it once it was going on.

Tammy's interview with that reporter where she says they had an open marriage and she wouldn't have done anything to Heather because she could care less if her husband was involved with another woman because she herself had a boyfriend didn't quite ring true. Um, Tammy, when you found out that the "Psycho whore" your husband was "banging" was also pregnant with his child, didn't that kick things up a notch or two? Even if you were convinced that your husband would never see her again (which apparently you were NOT convinced of or you would not have chained him to your bed) your husband having an ex-lover is one thing (perhaps) but your husband having an ex-lover who is the mother of his child is an entirely different kettle of fish. I think Heather made an extremely stupid and immoral choice when she went after a married man but unfortunately this is a choice that many men and women make and I don't think it deserves the death penalty. You know what I would do to a husband that I had to chain to the bed to keep him from sneaking out to be with another woman? I would break those chains and tell him to fly free and I would never set eyes on his sorry cheating backside ever again.

Pregnancy may have begun to bring her back to reality. Unfortunately that new life was the beginning of the end for Heather, thanks to the murderous pair, Psycho Tammy and the Cheater (second affair, at least).

They were not allowed to say she appeared to be dead, so the prosecutor asked, “Having seen that photo, do you believe that the Elvis family will ever see Heather again?” To which the cousin replied, “No.”

Perhaps you aren’t familiar with how this works.
That’s not how crazy works.

Relationship with a married person is always bad news.
Watching True Crime Daily, it seems that a relationship with a married person is often bad news for the spouse.
It is trouble but it seems some are attracted to it for some reason. Guess because it's like "forbidden love" or some weird psychological reason.

Probably both.

Morbid curiosity is human nature. No need to be disgusted.
@Dustin Wind
There's no reason to be disgusted with yourself.

She claimed to be in an open marriage, yet she was very threatening to Heather to stay away from her husband. He said when “his wife found out.” Shouldn’t be a problem in an open relationship. It bothers me how Sydney was like “ugh! She just wouldn’t leave me alone!” Dude.... you had an affair.... it’s a two way street my guy, I’m ashamed people believed his and Tammy’s straight lies. The fact that they lied to the investigators off the bat should’ve been enough!!!

The most bizarre aspect of this entire situation is that a payphone still exists somewhere.

Tammy sounds like the one all behind it, while Sydney is just her goon. They both probably killed her that night. Such a sad story.
And her actions when she found out made it a lot harder to believe they had nothing to do with it.
Biblemanlover45 Sidneys acts were the source of all this. If you are saying it’s tammys fault, than Sidney is just as guilty.
@@shakeworldwide2031 No it's all Tammy's fault.
Sydney and Heather's immoral decision to have an affair doesn't change that. Sydney isn't 'just as guilty' unless you're suggesting Heather _also_ asked for it by engaging in an affair.
Lesson: play Stupid Games, win Stupid Prizes.
Here in America when you’re married you’re considered as one so yes it’s Tammy’s fault just as much as it is Sydney’s fault. How are you going to blame heather for her own murder???? That’s just biased thinking only a haters mentality would have, Two people came together to kill one person. How is it only Tammy’s fault that doesn’t make sense?
Here in America your character and personality traits are protected By law. So whether he was a cheating husband or she was playing stupid games that doesn’t allow them to kill her.

It’s so funny how Tammy in the interview which is basically her only chance to redeem herself and in a sense save her life, she still is incapable of hiding her obvious hatred for heather…it’s crazy what anger and jealousy can do to you.

When I was 13 I moved to Myrtle beach South Carolina in August of 2013. I literally watched all this happen in my home town in real time. She was on every billboard. Everyday her reward got higher. The tilted kilt got shut down all together. At the time most people in town figured she’d ran away. It wasn’t till a good few years later did we learn about all that really went down and this is the first time I’ve really seen someone cover her story in this much detail. I still live here so it’s definitely weird seeing people from so far away talking about it.

Parents -- teach your daughters that ANY man who would cheat on his wife is not worth the dirt on the bottom of his shoe. Don’t waste your time. They need to understand their worth and it’s not rated by these scumbags. Tammy’s estimation that she looks 20 just cracked me up. They so set her up and killed her.

A 20 year old is a child..?
Yep, and that’s just normal human behaviour... but no, you’re just saying “blame the man”... nothing wrong with me! Umm yeah... take a look at yourself and other factors
@Omnipresent One I understand what you're saying. Although I dont think Heather was innocent. She didnt deserve to die, but she wasn't innocent.
She is clearly nuts. I am not into victim blaming...hate it in fact. It just would have been nice if Heather could have seen some of these signs she passed on her journey. Tammy was not someone to mess with.
'Heather's phone moved to a dark, secluded, wooded area' that sentence gave me actual chills
I wondered if the phone developed flying carpet like, powers.
