Man, legit. You can hear the love for the material. Cool vocal.
Right on, thank you!
My grandson is learning to play!! And thank God he loves the good stuff!!!! ZZ Top, Skynyrd, Allman brothers, Tucker band, Wet Willie.........….. I told him that's when they played live better than the records!!!!! Let's keep it going!!!!
Robert, those were the bands I grew up listening to. I didn't get a guitar in my hands till I was 21, which meant I was behind the curve already. Good honest amplified blues, with a twist of country and a good story to tell. Anyway, I taught myself how to play long before UA-cam. I spent my time learning the songs I love. I also learned most of the blues classics so I could jump in and play at open jams, it brings so much joy. Give your grandson all the support and start him singing along at the same time, a lot easier to get when you are young. Playing finger picking instead of using a pic is a good way to learn and a great way to song-write.
I've got some videos up from some of the open jams I have played at as well as some of the bands in Dallas. Thanks for listening, cheers!
The old tube style amps made the good live sound!!! I remember seeing all the Marshall amps on stage!!! I'm gonna try and find him one!!!
There are so many different variations on how to play this tune but on an acoustic I like your style of the slap A CHORD ! dig it man !
Thanks Sam
@@MirurImage your welcome . I been using the palm of my hand for years , especially with acoustic . Kinda like what you do I suppose and really dig it ! Rock on broda !
Open G is magic.

jesus just left chicago and sound just left my right ear
Yes, very unfortunate, left channel was the only option I had at the time. Wish there was a way to at least make it stereo instead of mono.
Hope you enjoyed anyway, cheers!
Awesome

Michael, Thanks man.....yea Ohhhhh Yeaaaaaa. Billy is such a cool dude in every way. I hope I'm doing the song justice in my own way. Thanks for listening and commenting.
One of my favorite top songs. Have you done fool for your stockings?
one of my fav ZZ Top songs as well. No haven't done fool for your stockings although i will someday have take make a video of Brown Sugar and waiting on a bus. I'm definitely into their earlier stuff, not so much once they became electronic, I think possibly after the eliminator album
Wow.... you really do look like the man in black.
LOL, well I'll take that as a compliment, I am a huge Johnny Cash fan, and there's not a damn thing wrong with that. Cheers!
@@MirurImage It was meant to be a compliment. The world is so cynical now and so many trolls online but I was very impressed with your delivery. btw I live near that little ol band from TX. I have a D-35.
many thanks.
Awesome version Jorge
Thank you Steve, I only wish I had a way to edit it so the right channel would play as well. I didn't realize I was only recording the left channel when I did this.
Steve, I appreciate that
Well alright...
Glad to you enjoyed
nice! I was wondering how that would go on a acoustic. Thanks
It is quite fun and with the exception of the walk down riff not too difficult. Appreciate the compliment Chad
Chad, thank you!
