This video was so helpful. I have installed a 143cc big bore kit on my KLX 110 and I could no longer get it to start because there was so much compression the kick start would just slip. Ended up replacing the disks and installing stiffer springs to solve my problem entirely
Hey Brian, I have a brand new klx110 and the clutch engagement is right at the end of the clutch lever movement, both clutch lever and case cable adjustments have been played with and it has the correct amount of free play on the lever, I feel as if it's how these clutches come from the factory. Have you had the same issue?
Hey D&R! Mine isn’t like that, but it’s not a big deal if the clutch engages as yours does. As long as the clutch isn’t slipping under hard load or hard acceleration, you’re good.
Hello Professor, it is not clear in the video when installing the clutch plate. How should we install the iron plate that has a round edge and the other side is flat
@@mohammadziaekhlassi263 Hi Mohammad. Im so sorry. I spent a lot of time discussing that in the video beginning around 9:51. To me it is very clear. All the curved (chamfered) faces should be oriented in the same direction. However, the need for any attention to orienting the plates in any particular way is debated and may not affect performance at all. Why is the first friction plate not in the notch at the final assembly 8:55
That is just a editing error. The correct position and procedure are detailed in the video. The friction disc position is explained in detail at 6:10.
