Luna was rescued one and a half years ago, her treatment was one of the most beautiful we have ever performed. Her story went viral and was followed by millions of people.
Today, one year after she was adopted she needs to leave her family behind and come live with me.
Nobody knows when they will be reunited.
We are a rescue organisation that believes our responsibility extends far beyond adoption...

This video made me cry because I know what Luna has been through and don’t want her to feel sad and miss her mom. I pray for the lady’s successful surgery and recovery. Thank you for taking Luna so we all know she’s safe. Poor baby is still blind in one eye but thankfully can see in the other! She looks great! Let us know how Luna is adjusting. Dogs bond with us and I’m sure she doesn’t understand where her mommy went. Luna is such a sweet dog I can’t fathom why or how anyone could’ve ever intentionally hurt her but grateful her legs were saved!

It’s unfortunate but at least she has you. What about all the people who die and it leaves these dogs without a home. That’s a lot of these rescues have so many animals. I love you Viktor. You go above and beyond. You and everyone I your co. Much aloha.

I hope that Luna’s owner is able to sail through her surgery and get better. But Luna is in no better place than with Victor. Cried gallons over this darling dog😢
I hope your friend fully recovers so that she can take her baby back. I could tell in the beginning that Luna knew something was going on. She and mommy truly love each other. I love my little boy. He is a puppy mill rescue. He must have been treated horribly, because I’ve had him since 2010, and he is still skittish, when I bend down to pick him up to carry him up steps, he cowers, if I make a sudden move toward him to hug or kiss him, fear comes to his face, and he hurries away from me. I could never imagine having to give him to the rescue again that I got him from. He would just absolutely be so terrified.
Oh Viktor, this just broke my heart. I can only imagine what this family is going through. Am sending my healing thoughts to Luna's mom & family. And my admiration for you just increased tenfold, the distance you will go for not only the animals, but their families too. You have a beautiful courageous heart. You can see that Luna new something was up, she looked so sad, but she has flourished under this dear lady's care and am truly holding in my heart the best possible outcome for all of them.

At first, I thought this was another one of those stories where a human abandons their animals because of some 'problem' or another, and I was in a rage. Then we come to realize that the woman is fighting for her life. Her surgery is going to go really well and they will be reunited! I know it! Pray for her recovery.

Luna looks great but my heart is breaking for Luna and her mom. They were together for quite a while and I could see the love they have for each other. It's sad that Luna will have to get used to it new place but thank you Viktor for taking Luna back with you. It's so much better than having her sit in a cage all day thinking that she was abandoned. I hope that her mom's surgery goes well and that they will be back together soon.

Thank god, Spain has not only amazing vets, but also one of the best health care systems in the world for humans. Plus, the region around Vigo is probably the most beautiful spot on the planet which certainly helps one to recover. I'm pretty sure Luna's mama will be back on her feet and reunited with her baby in no time.
Viktor, my friend, please don't be sad. I know you're worried & upset about your friend, you'd have to be cold-hearted not to & it's obvious you aren't, given how you care for animals. Science has given us so much & medical advances are still being made every day. At no point in history have we been able to do this much to rectify heart problems. Your friend has the best chance ever to recover well from the surgery. She will soon be asking for you to send her beloved Luna back to her.
You have done a fantastic thing, taking Luna in for this short period. You are removing the worries that your friend would have had, giving her the opportunity to focus all her energy on recovering from the surgery.

I can't thank you enough for helping Luna's "mom" concentrate on getting herself healthy, by being willing to give Luna a place she is going to have the best care and treatment possible. I know how important it can be to know your pet is safe and receiving the love you want to give them. My own dog is in foster care, where she is adored and safe while I am finding a new home for both of us.
