I’ve always loved the IBM PC series, I’m 14 so it’s kinda hard for me to get anything for it but my grandpa had an IBM PC Jr and a substantial amount of games and software for it.
When I was your age, I was playing with these machines as everybody was throwing them out in favour of 486s and Pentiums. Which is a good way to learn how to build and work with them. There's certainly a market for vintage computers, but it's often a hard hobby to get into. My recommendation, since you didn't grow up with these machines as I did, is to install a copy of DOSBox or similar VMware on a modern machine, get used to working with DOS and early versions of Windows, and find what games and software you like to play around with. "Abandonware" websites will often have emulators, so you can try the games and software on the website itself without going through the trouble of installing them. Then when you're old enough to start making money and collecting old computers, you'll have a better idea of how to use them, if that's what you decided to go into for a hobby. There is, of course, another problem that makes vintage computer collecting hard to get into, in that these old machines are often tempermental, and/or non-working when you get them, so if you don't know how to repair them, find yourself a friend who does. Sometimes, you can luck upon them at e-waste collection facilities, but not every facility allows you to take them. There's a number of Facebook groups dedicated to vintage computers, as well as buying and selling them.
It wasn't until version 2000 that they stopped calling them release numbers. I think Release 16 was the last one numbered that way. Been using AutoCAD throughout high school, college, and my career since 2000.
AUTOCAD is a nightmare nowdays, I can't even imagine how it would've been back then without even the grid and the few things that make it very slightly easier
The PCjr was the predecessor to the Tandy 1000 series, which had set the standard for DOS gaming for several years. Tandys were cheaper and MUCH easier to upgrade than the PCjr.

Yep. Works on an 8088, but you'll definitely want the math co-processor upgrade.

What amazes despite the computer, is that the boxes and everything inside is still intact.
What amazes me even more is he was the first to ever pull it out of the box. Still had the tape and protective styrofoam bits inside.
Wish computers would go back to this. The design aesthetics, the display, and especially the sound
