100% good rewue. no empty talking! good job! more rewue about feeder fishing (rigs, new lines, groundbait, more about that day and whether when you fishing its really important) thanks
I've been through plenty of feeder rods as the most of my fishing consists of feeder fishing. So far I've had so much joy from the Shimano forcemaster and beast master range, the commercial 10ft forcemaster rods are brilliant and are very very affordable! Great video :)
Thanks for the reviews which I found very helpful and echo what some of the others have said about a clear comparison without the waffle. I have now bought a Drennan Acolyte and it arrived today. I was surprised how light it actually is so hope it will do the trick with 4 - 5lb bream. It says a recommended maximum line of 6lb which rules out using braid I assume as the rod eyes may be too small. I’ve ordered some 5lb line now so I’ll see how I go with this setup otherwise I may have to opt for a ‘stiffer’ rod.
This type of rods have ultra responsive/sensitive interchangeable rod tips (quiver tips) that bend easily. Unsuitable for lures. The tip will be bent on retrieve and you will miss bites. The only lures I’ve used with a light feeder rod are very small jigs and drop shot tackle. Only because I didn’t bring a more suitable rod with me.
Great review, I brought the Tri-cast rod (Excellenece) based on this review. Joe is always helpful in his video and those little questions answered in his text. Joe, Lee and Rob all make videos for real world anglers. Keep up the good work mate. Would like to know the main line diameter line used on the rod tests if possible?
I did a deal at Vinnie Smith's a while back swapping my Tri Cast Venturis pole for a new Tri Cast Legend 12-13.5 feeder rod, twin top section one taking put over glass tips for anything from gudgeon to bream and the other for push in tips from 2oz - 5oz ish. I use it for Barbel on the Ribble or carp on method etc. Easily the best quality rod ive ever owned and probably the most versatile.
Maybe he didn’t notice the big gouge in the cork on the Drennan Acolyte, a rod notorious for breaking. 3:44 for a rod as expensive as this, it really is poor quality.
Прекрасный формат видео! Очень интересно и познавательно! Кроме явной предвзятости автора... А так... Было бы очень интересно посмотреть обзоры других ценовых категорий и ростовок!
Everyone's commenting on the poor quality of the Drennan, simple, buy a Diawa Tournament Pro 10/11, we work all week to pay for our hobby, we only get Sunday on the bank, why struggle with rubbish, just buy the Tournament range. Heavy feeder? Tournament SLR range. All venues took care of.
*Packaging was awesome. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend Tube is tough and kept the rod very safe. Rods gorgeous! Can’t wait to use it this spring.*
That was probably the best rod test I have seen. Thanks Joe I'm looking forward to more tests now also suprised at the winning choice

Is this when you last used your tdr reels
That Acolyte looks like the cork handle is missing a piece at 0,44 seconds
Shimano Aernos 11ft
Is that a 3012 TDR you are using??
What about the Browning scoring?
did you grade the browing rod?
Hi Joe,can we have a review on rods half the price please.
Are feeder rods suitable for casting lighter lures long distances -- for example 3/8 to 1 oz spinners, spoons, and buck tails?
