Last week I got my ZS EV delivered about 6 months later than expected. I am very impressed with the cars features, and comfort. It is just the right balance between price and quantity.
I wish that i would be somehow, able to go through a tree of folders under the USB option and choose a song of my liking. Unfortunately its not possible on the MG ZS EV.When the USB is plugged, its a list of 3000 songs and the trouble is now for the owner of the vehicle to make to select his song from the haystack!. Hope MG ZS infotainment people rectify this error through an update. Thanks.
The 51kWh version of this model has a LFP battery which has a better chemistry than the 72 kHw lithium ion. The 51kWh LFP battery can be charged to full everyday for 10 years before you begin to see a 20% reduction in capacity.
Have been enjoying the new toy since it was delivered 3weeks ago. Nice 500miles round trip with family during Easter holiday... Before I got used to the powerful torque in the first week, it gave me a speeding ticket in a 30mile zone though😢.....
Thanks Simon, really appreciate feedback like that! The MG4 is really good, fundamentally a better car I'd say. More efficient, better tech, better finish, better chassis, etc. Personally I'd only change up if I needed the extra bit of space or ride height.
Don’t think we get the sunroof anymore in the UK, do you still get it in Ireland? If you do May think of getting one from Ireland!! Bob Blood Kent England. Thanks for your reply Michael, thought the SunRoof had been removed almost a year ago. Hope that they start using the MG4 base/ format with a car the size of theMG ZS. Think later in 2023 or 24 we will see more model’s coming out using this formate. Would buy a Nissan Qashqui as a EV if they made it as I had 8 Qashqui’s and now have a Nissan Leaf, think Nissan have missed the boat with not going fully EV with there range. MG will probably get my next order. Bob
Just took a look on the Irish MG site, Bob, and they don’t mention it. Looks like it’s no longer available here. I’d take it without the sunroof at this stage!
Yeah, seems that the pan roof is being phased out. The vehicle in this review is a press car, got all the treatment early on! Thanks for the comment Bob!
@@potter2702 Sounds like you are in the UK Phil, judging by LRTC. I ordered the LR Exclusive trim here in Ireland. That’s equivalent to the UK Trophy, I believe. I am beginning to wonder as well if I’ll ever see it.
Wow, that's a long time to wait. Fingers crossed for you getting it soon! Looks like they're putting more effort into the MG4 now. Thanks for the comment Michael!
Hi Joe, that sounds about right. This was a press car still on fleet. Looks like people will have to go the used market to get the sunroof! Thanks for the comment!
MG pilot cruise control is not very good in my experience. When engaged, it tries so hard to keep the vehicle in the middle of where IT THINKS the lane is, that you have to actively fight the steering wheel in order to actually keep in the middle of the lane since it fails to do that more often than not, even on the motorway. Another dumb thing about it is that it always reengages after you’ve parked the car, meaning you’ll have to either perform a ritual of going into settings and turning it off right at the start of EVERY trip, or you’re simply unable to use the otherwise good cruise control system, for instance with only the distance to the car in front and the speed being controlled by MG pilot. If I’m wrong and someone knows how to make MG pilot be less frustrating, please correct me!
These are some short comings, I find on the MG ZS EV. # No Smart TailGate or Kick sensor. # No Electronic lumbar support on seats. # No A/c ventilated seats. # No “auto roll up” of window glass on central locking. # Android Auto/Carplay are NOT wireless. # No spare tyre in rear boot. # Only single 12v in front, no 12v sockets in rear or trunk space. # Touch screen- not sensitive/smooth & not great in resolution. # Should have come with a storage shelf in the front engine bay. # Steering wheel has no Telescoping feature.

Great review, congratulations. I have the MG ZS EV long range and my family and I are crazy with this car, great car.
Thanks José! Glad you enjoyed the video and it's great that the car is working out so well for you guys.

Weird they went back to ion vs lfp

another great video Blake thanks! I'm waiting on my MG4 Exclusive but now i'm worried i should have pushed on a little more for this maybe!

Great refresher of what I'm still waiting for, I'm starting to think it will never arrive and I'll be stuck on Dino juice for good😔
Fingers crossed for you Phil! Could be worth having a look around for other options in the mean time? Thanks for the comment!
Have one in same colour. Love it and the colour. Great review
Thanks Bozwell! Fine choice of car by you!
While testing out the 0-100 is important for some, would also be nice to test out the cameras and sensors. It's a family car after all..

saw on FB that last month delivery still came with a subroof here in the uk...fingers crossed that I am getting mine by end of the month too....
I’d love to give my views, but waiting for mine since early January 2022!
I ordered mine Feb 16th, but it turns out it was a garage order from Nov 21😔
My Order is for a LRTC, what did you order?

@Michael Twomey Yep UK, its getting no update that's doing my head in tbh.
@@potter2702 Same here. The dealership knows nothing. They’re as frustrated as I am.

I ordered one last July and was told there would be no sunroof from then on in Ireland.

Perhaps you should check spare parts availability as well
No sunroof in latest model
Yeah, this is a press car from a good few months back. Great feature, pity it's not being kept. Thanks for commenting!
Why doesn't it have a backseat or trunk light
