Britney is a beautiful woman. She can sing and dance well. She is one of my favorite singers
Britney's answer (to a callous and, frankly, inappropriate question, if you ask me!) was actually very poignant and was articulated so well! That's a hard question to answer without sounding vain or self deprecating! They were looking for her to either, embarrass herself by admitting she isn't a good vocalist, or hang herself by "bragging" about her skill, it was such a loaded question it's disgusting. But she answered it so humbly and gracefully, that was really impressive!

Britney has a good natural voice, if she had training with her natural tonality she'd be a great singer. She has a much more versatile voice than say singers like JLO, selena gomez name a few

Britney did receive training when she was younger before she got her record deal. Britney used to perform on Broadway is just unfortunate when she signed with her label they marketed her as teen pop artist and re-trained her voice

That might've been true back then, but after years of smoking, using her baby voice and not really using her instrument a lot, her voice is really damaged. You can tell when you listen to those covers she posts on Instagram.

I love that with Barbra it's like she's fully connected to herself in a way. The holding the note bit is super funny on the one hand, but it also speaks to how innate singing comes to her, I think. It's as if her body already knew what to do if she wants to hold a note for 20 seconds so it just does it automatically, without her having to had a sort of inner dialogue with herself _"big breath in, try not to release air with the sound, be still, put some vibrato now, few more secs, couple more bars"_
I think Adele's flaws are what makes her as one of the most recognizable singers of this era ...love her to the core and she's still such a beautiful singer and a phenomenal artist

i feel sad that britney feels bad about her voice. i think she's a great singer. she has really great songs like 'i am not a girl', 'everytime', etc that showcased her vocal prowess.
I saw Barbara Streisand and got excited. I have loved her since I was about 8 maybe even a little younger. I was never a tipacal kid. When I was 8 my family got Cable. And when I stayed home sick I would watch Discovery Channel, and I also watched alot of AMC (American Movie Classics) with my parents and siblings. Does this mean I will finally find out why Barbara Streisand stopped singing in public? I was always impressed by her range she showed in movies like On a Clear Day You Can See Forever and Hello Dolly. That's to bad about Barbara Streisand I loved her singing. It's like that famous quote, paraphrasing here, I don't remember it exactly. "You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish when no one tells you "You can't".". Amira Wellighagen is a perfect example. She started to learn how to sing opera by watching UA-cam at the age of 7, and by the time she was nine she was good enough to win Holland's Got Talent. After a few professional lessons to work on her phrasing and breath control and two years later she was touring the world. Can't wait for part 2.
I will give you an artist that for me stands head and shoulders above all of these,she is not Mainstream but has a worldwide following of millions her name is AURORA, her voice and songwriting ability is so special she simply put is a Genius.

I agree with everything you said about Alyshia Keys except the Gummy Bears! Gummy Bears or ANY candy especially a sour candy WILL be your friend! You can't access the vocal folds by drinking water but by eating a sour candy or something like a Gummy Bear you can stimulate the salivary glands which will lubricate those dry folds that are taking a beating from the poor technique! It's actually an amazing and science backed tip!

Looked at both parts and no whitney. Could this be because she never admitted she struggled especially towards the end of her career?
Jessie J recently announced that on Christmas eve she was in the hospital and was diagnosed with Meniere's disease which caused her hearing loss in her right ear. So, will hearing loss in one ear prevent someone from singing in their full voice live? I also have hearing loss in my right ear, I still sing but as a tenor I'm afraid of the high notes, so I mostly sing low baritone.
I perform in musical theatre. I have a friend who is deaf in one ear and she has no problem still doing upper belts. So I think you’d be ok
In one of the seasons of America’s Got Talent (I think) there was a deaf singer. She sang by muscle memory and she sounds flawless!!! She has such an amazing voice and she even plays the ukelele while singing. Without hearing a single thing. She felt the vibrations of the sounds.

My Older brother said I am like the 'Male Adele' . Nobody in my family ever gives compliments so it was a very meaningful moment for me. But I sing very emotion first technique second when I'm performing and also have a tendency to go hard on my throat sometimes. So for a non-singer I think his comparison was pretty accurate.
I will go ahead and say that I don't like when people say " I just get swept away with the emotion when singing and so my technique goes to shit". No. So many great singers can do both, and more, you just need to practice, and it's obvious that people like Adele, as she has admitted herself, did not work on their technique. If you practice enough you will do most things correctly and you can still be emotional, so let's not justify lack of will to exercise your voice just be cause they sound okay.

AHHH STEROIDS ON TOUR !! NOOO!!!!! Steroids make your vocal chords THICK, your range drops SO FAST when you take oral steroids. If you take the Orange inhaler (it's always orange here in Canada) it WILL damage your voice and it can do so VERY FAST!
