She's huge in Asia and has sold more than a million I think or half a million Albums in Asia and more than 7 million in the Philippines. She was offered international careers but they said that she should deny her being Filipina/Asian. Also, because of being huge in Asia,she tours every now and then and she even missed her meals. Her mother would just bring with them rice cakes and other delicacies so that she could eat. to answer Efra’s question about her early years, Rwgines earlyer career, Mariah is not even in the scene yet, so Regine’s style was so pequliar and unique to many of her contemporaries and early filipino audience at that time, so her performances are way too advance to comprehend. "Kailangan Kita" translates to "I Need You" 😁 Meanwhile, the word "kailan" actually means "when" and the title of the song "Kahit Kailan" directly translates to "whenever" in English.

Regine is really a great singer even in her younger days,her voice is unbeatable,well even today. She's huge in Asia and has sold more than a million I think or half a million Albums in Asia and more than 7 million in the Philippines. She was offered international careers but they said that she should deny her being Filipina/Asian. Also, because of being huge in Asia,she tours every now and then and she even missed her meals. Her mother would just bring with them rice cakes and other delicacies so that she could eat. There's even an instance wherein she didn't even know that she had gone to Malaysia already,until she sees it in her passport. She have sang also with many different international artists like Brian McKnight,Paul Anka, Stephen Bishop,Rick Price Alicia Keys,Peabo Bryson, Maestro Michel Legrand and many more.

Kahit kailan means “anytime”
Kailangan means “need”. Kita is a pronoun that means “you”.
Kailangan kita is the conversational version of “I need you”. If it were a formal Filipino, the sentence should be said (Active voice) “Ako ay kailangan ka.” Ako (I) ay kailangan (verb for need, “ay” may indicate the helping verb “is/are/am/be/was/were”) ka (objective pronoun “you”). Another way to say it is: “Ikaw ay kailangan ko”. Ikaw (subjective “you”) ay kailangan (need) ko (objective pronoun for “I/me” for Filipino).
Ikaw ay kailangan ko means “You are needed by me” which is in passive voice.

Thank you guys. At least these comments came from other countries. Foreigners . Not filipinos. Sometimes when these pride comments came from us. Other people will say . Filipino pride. The country is not perfect. Not all filipinos can sing well. But mostly are good in music. Composers, producers and the singers. May be one of God's blessings to philippines.

One thing that makes the Hispanic songs and Filipino songs similar is the soulfulness of the music. It conveys emotions / feelings. I wish my great grandparents were still alive when I was born, that way I would learn how to speak spanish.

to answer Efra’s question about her early years, Rwgines earlyer career, Mariah is not even in the scene yet, so Regine’s style was so pequliar and unique to many of her contemporaries and early filipino audience at that time, so her performances are way too advance to comprehend. So I guess the receptions on her artistry was mixed during the late 80s and early 90s. but never the less, she is always perfect.
The guy who is in the audience is piolo pascual the original artist who sung the song and he is also an award winning actor who is a household name in the philippines
