Thank god for someone like you explaining how’s it’s done….i like it that you get right to the point…most people just talk way too much
Thanks!
All his videos are awesome. Cant wait to see more as time goes. I have watched just about everyone of his so far...
You are a gods gift to mankind…straight to the point….im following you now
Perfect content, perfect length of video... blessings!
Thank you!
I’m so excited to see this video because mine are just starting to sprout buds (?... I called them “eyes“), and I’m getting ready to plant them. After watching this I feel fully confident on what I’m doing and can’t wait to see the results. Thank you so much for sharing your technique❤
Thank you for watching! Let me know if I can help you.
What do you do w/the soil? Can you reuse it or do you mix it in w/compost
I always reuse it. Just add a few handfuls of bone meal and blood meal to get nutrients back in it. Thank you so much for watching my content and please share with others.
Great info! Thanks!😊Regina
Thank you Regina!
Great video, loved it! May I ask about watering? Do you water the plant every two weeks you fill it up? Thanks!
I water about once a week and soak it down. They don’t require much at all
What time of year do you start them? Do they need any fertilizer?
I just started some potatoes and can't wait to see what i get too.
I have a live in basement to store them in so there's that.
Can you tell us what you know too about sweet potatoes?
Thank you for the education and your time.
Working on that video now. It’s going to be middle of summer til I get it out. But it’s in the works!
@@saltyacresnc okay, thank you.
You make great informative videos❤
Great video thank you. What do you do with the soil afterwards? Can I reuse it? I dont have a crawlspace so Ill have to put it in a wicker basket and place something over it so its cool and dark. Also, I saw you put holes at the bottom, which previous videos you said not to. So this would be only for potatoes? Do we do the same thing for sweet potatoes?
You definitely reuse the soil all you want! U can put in a basket inside or in garage. They just don’t need to be in 90 degree temperatures. Put holes in your containers you use for potatoes
Should I stop watering when they start wilting towards the 90 days or so?
When you add more soil week 2, you said fill it up to the "______ point" - not sure what point you stop filling? Do you cover the green tops? Then you said fill to the top, but never showed it. Please advise. I've tried growing in 5 gallon and in grow bags.... not getting the success I want- hoping you'll fill in the blanks of my knowledge in addition to me being able to find the Black Cow Manure.
Was wondering the same! I don’t think he covered the whole plant up!
Can this be done with any variety of potato? I love Russets for baked potatoes. Never realized how simple growing your own potatoes is!
Yes…any variety this works on
Completely new to gardening but I want to try this. Could I grow in the summer in Florida? My backyard gets a lot of direct sunlight
Yes you can! They will grow
So for potatoes you want to do holes in the bottom and for other plants do the self wicking with the milk jugs? I'm inquiring about getting some of these tubs after seeing your tiktoks.
Holes at the bottom
Can you follow this same method for above ground 3x3 box?
Yes
What happened to the strawberries in the gutters?
Okay so put holes in the bottom of the bucket or on the side? Does it matter how many holes? I’m going to Lowe’s to get a bucket lol.
Just put a few small holes in the bottom you can’t over do it but you can under do it
I'm sure you have been asked but can you share the type of minral tub you are using?
Stick around tomorrow! I’ll post a video explaining where to get them!
I wish they were fully died back; the harvest you would have had would’ve been great, but still not to bad!
