If you use Penzoil you’ll have less ticking sound when idling. I use to use Mobil 1 and I would get Ticking then I switched to Penzoil and now car is absolutely quiet.
Thank you I’m at 22k miles and decided to do it myself this time.
Great video dude! Been doing my own oil changes for a long time but just recently got this car and this hit it right on the spot. I'm going to get this done this weekend thank you again so much!
Glad it helped
This is the only video on UA-cam that uses the correct filter. It's 04152-YZZA1 not 04152-YZZA5, at least for the 2024 IS350 RWD.
Nicely done. Bummer that you have to remove a cover plate for the filter, and we no longer have the days of a spin-on filter accessible from the engine compartment.
You find this to be inconvenient? Try changing oils on a German car
What is the second drain plug further back for? Thanks!
Trans fluid
What was it lol because I took fluid out of there and I thought it was oil?
What size is that oil wrench?
Would Ramps work? Also any special tools needed ? Looks simple but want to make sure cars at 7k rn without change
Where are you located
is this AWD is350 or rwd?
Rwd
I wonder if you could get a jack far enough to jack up from the center of the car where the video at 7:10 is. Your hand is near that area with the 2 bolts, I think it's the subframe? That way you could rest the car on 2 jack stands
I’ve never done oil filter first then draining. Wouldn’t the old filter get contaminated with the old oil?
How is the old oil going to get into the new filter with the car off?
Just saw him littering on el camino real SMH.
Not me
Man that oil was black. How many miles did it have?
It had 10k miles on it
“TheCarCareNut” highly recommends changing the oil and filter every 5k miles. Doing it every 10k miles can cause long term issues on your Lexus/Toyota engine.
I agree!
