This team's both offensive and defensive midfielders will be so crucial in the Olympics. Each of them possesses singular distinctive skills and when put together, unbeatable/unmatchable. I'm in awe.

Loved seeing Sam Mewis getting involved in the attack, they played awesome
that redirect by Press on her 2nd goal is pure class. When there's that much pace on the cross, redirecting it on net is much easier said than done. I wish they would show it it slo-mo, it's such a bang bang play in real time, hard to see the skill involved.
That second goal of hers was a thing of beauty.
Heath goal was sic, then Press with the outside-of-the-foot redirect.. um, that was a straight-up masterful finish. Like a freakin BOSS...

Okay I keep watching highlights of this game, and I see more and more things. First thing was the two defenders Tobin had on her left when she kicked in that sweet long pretty goal. Then I got super excited again trying to figure out who kicked Pressy second goal in. Was it a breeze, slap, or that precision touch she possess with either foot, or in some cases her head. These two queens showed up and out in this game. I'm still high from this game. Welcome back Tobin.
Ms Dalkemper, Sam and Kristie Mewis, had serious impacts on this game. Include Kelly O in this group. She was really moving on the PITCH this game.

This team is so strong - they did not miss Lavelle at all. I thought the rain affected Alex Morgan's style more than the other more physical players.
Bullshit! Morgan played like shit for 80 minutes and contributed nothing. Missed from point blank range 3 times played no defense. Morgan is soft af so what physical style of play

We never worried.
I loved how they turned there backs to that 98 year old man playing the anthem. They showed us all we need to see. So brave.
Some turned towards the flag and some chose to face the sideline. It’s a unnecessary distraction that doesn’t benefit any cause. It just insults half the potential fans they could be attracting to their game.

Wonder why Mexico didn't play whats going to be the #1 goal keeper and front 2 along with Sanchez? Sanchez looked good while on loan to Houston Dash from Tigres. I actually expect Dash to buy her outright. I really like Dunn great work ethic and you put her anyplace on the pitch you want. Extremely sloppy play my Mexico's CB. They were going to be beaten anyway but they gave away to much to close, you gotta make your opponent earn it not give it to them. Nice win by US but the competition is rather weak La Liga Feminal is still behind NWSL and the European leagues. Tigres, and America are the Club teams right now spending money on the women. US should walk away with the Olympics depending on which countries take it serious enough to send their top squads as to what the competition will look like.

Thank you to the players who properly respected our national anthem and flag!!! Y’all know who you are!!! Now if the rest of the team could just get on board... They’re freaking playing for and representing the US with the nation paying their way to the Olympics and giving them the opportunity to play in the Olympics and play at all (as many nations still don’t have women’s national soccer teams), the least they could do is show their respect (even if they have been led to believe that they shouldn’t feel pride in their country... which is wrong)!!!

@@Matthew_Ellis How is reading the first amendment going to change my opinion on anything? Yes, we have a right to freedom of speech, however that right does not apply to desecration of the flag. While there is a grey area in terms of wether or not prosecution will occur, it still remains highly disrespectful. Any disrespect of the flag, anthem, or country is not something that someone who is being paid to represent our country should be partaking in. While they do have a right to disrespect the anthem, it does not mean I am supposed to agree with it or let it slide simply because they can do it. It is disrespectful to the men and women who serve to not respect the anthem properly.
In my line of work, I work with veterans and military families a lot. These men and women gave everything, and came home scarred and damaged both mentally and physically to defend our country and keep us safe. The things I have seen, the stories I could tell... They really gave everything, and the least we can do is show our respect for their sacrifices. There is nothing more sad than seeing someone who is afraid of people so much that he thinks everyone will attack him. Or the young man who is now paralyzed because of his time serving. We owe them our respect.
The families give so much too with the kids having to go long stretches without seeing their mom or dad, and the parent that is at home has to be a single parent for months on end. Not to mention they have to move every four years and leave everything they know and start new again.
They are why we respect our country. We show our thanks and gratefulness for them when we stand, face the flag, and place our hand over our heart during the playing of the star spangled banner. Anyone who does not partake in that, is viewed as disrespectful and ungrateful in my eyes.

It wasn’t anyone’s land. The king was trying to control the people, and the people said “no”. If they were in GB and trying to overthrow the king, then that would be a different story. However in this case, there is no overthrowing of anything... Certain players are simply disrespecting our country and those who serve it.

Mexico is ranked 28th in the world. A 4-0 victory is nothing to be overly excited about. It's about as impressive as them beating Thailand 13-0. The gap in women's soccer is so much wider than the mens.

As a non-sport following guy, womens soccer was my favorite to watch above anything else because the way they played was more exciting for me as a viewer. Then, the team demanded to get paid MORE than the mens team, then called it sexist when that proposal was rejected, and then they DISRESPECTED our flag and a living WWII veteran by turning their backs on them during the national anthem on live TV. And NO- they did not "turn towards the flag". You can see easily with your very own eyes in the wide shots that they turned away to DISS our entire country and embarrass everyone. Needless to say, the literal only organized sport I ever enjoyed watching I won't be supporting anymore because its far too toxic.
