CLOUD HUNTING IN DA LAT |

- One of my most unforgettable moments is hunting clouds in Da Lat. The place is located at Cau Dat Tea Hill which is about 23km southeast from Da Lat. The view was magnificent! I highly recommend you to experience this. Disclaimer: Clouds may appear depending on the day you go, that’s why it’s called "cloud hunting". I went cloud hunting in March and the weather was perfect :)
The second place I visited was Da Lat's lost railroad. It was built by the French in 1903, and it took nearly 30 years to finish. This 84-kilometer track frequently transported fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers to the coast, shuttling tourists back in the other direction. It’s somewhat romantic yet mysterious at the same time. Another free location that you might want to check out!
I found a very great local Mi Quang place, and it was located at 14A Yersin street. By the way, Dr. Yersin was the founder of the site for the new town of Da Lat in 1893. Mi Quang noodle soup includes shrimp, quail eggs, pork and served with herbs and Vietnamese crackers. The dish is commonly served with a small amount of broth, which is generally infused with turmeric and it’s so tasty! Must try!
Da lat is known for beautiful pine trees and perfect weather. This city is the one place in Vietnam where you can experience all seasons in one day. Spring in the morning, summer at midday, fall in the evening, and winter at night. The weather is perfect for anyone who is looking to escape the tropical heat of Vietnam. Hiking around Tuyen Lam Lake is great! You can also see the sunset at Tuyen Lam lake as well and it was stunning!
The coffee shop that I mentioned in the video was Tui Mo To, Hẻm 31 Sào Nam, Phường 11, Thành phố Đà Lạt, Lâm Đồng. It's very cozy and romantic! You can see the beautiful bird's eye views of Da Lat. The drink prices are pretty affordable (55,000vnd-85,000vnd). Very chill and romantic place!

Keep doing what you're doing Van! You're probably the only Vietnamese youtuber who's doing videos in English and I think it helps foreigners as you can explain the culture better. I think you can put the price of food/hotel/transport in USD in the video so they can budget when planning to visit Vietnam. Also, you can do day-in-the-life videos of Vietnamese people, that'd be interesting.

Was my home town until 1975 when left for the US when I was 9. Visited Vietnam for 10 days 2019 from Hanoi to Saigon but Dalat wasn't on the itinerary. This video brought back many childhood memories growing up in Dalat. Definitely planned to visit Dalat and Nha Trang in the future.

Your videos are the best, I am coming to Nam on the 29th and going to Nha Trang the next day to meet up with my good friend who lives in Singapore. We have been to Vietnam many times but every time it keeps getting better. Your videos more than any other attracted me back there especially when we were locked down for almost 2 years(yes im from Melbourne, Australia so we were virtually in jail for a long time!) We would love to catch up for a simple mal somewhere if you are in the neighbourhood....we start in Nha Trang and will venture south to HCMC. We are good honest people from Australia and just live for Asian food....especially Vietnamese! Xin CAI!

I ve visited Dalat 5 times since 2018.
My last trip was end of 2019 to new year of 2020 3 months before the pandemic.
It is so comfy to live in .
The weather and the local people are so very nice..

Your videos are really pleasant, upbeat and informative and I really enjoy them. You mentioned Alexandre Yersin as one of the founders of Dalat but also... he is actually a very important man in the history of medicine as he was the person who co-discovered the cause of bubonic plague which ravaged Europe during the middle ages. His research was done in his main home of Nha Trang. The bacterium that causes plague is now known scientifically as Yersin pestis. And so may the world be reminded that this profoundly important advancement in world medicine was made right here in Vietnam!
Yes yes! He is also a Swiss and French physician and bacteriologist. His house in Nha Trang is now the Yersin Museum. He died during WWII and a private university founded in 2004 in Da Lat was named "Yersin University" in his honours.
I went there 2 weeks ago. Wonderful place. The coffee at the end is nice but really crowded.
I also recommend to try the canyoning experience! It was amazing!
