I haven't been to a Burger King in a long time, but when I did, my go to sandwich was the Double Whopper with cheese! I have had their Chicken sandwiches too. They're pretty decent. I'll always enjoy their food that is unless the quality of the food is as bad as many people say it is. 👍🍔🍟🥤
Been burned by the local BK burgers, so only had chicken sandwiches there. Then ordered one of their royal spicy chickens, and the meal was awful. Fries were stale, and the chicken was very overcooked. I wondered why the hand delivered meal in parking was delivered so quickly: it was all in the warming tray! This is why I sometimes ask for unsalted fries, because they have to be made fresh and pulled out before the avalanche of salt hits them. Take a notebook with you, and doodle: management will think you are a Mystery Shopper ready to send off a local review to management, and you will have the best service ever.
In the UK Wimpy was the main place o get burgers, until McDonalds came over in the mid 70's. Burger King then bought out Wimpy in the late 80's. There are still some Wimpy stores around. I loved Wimpy the best! Wendys came over for a couple of years but pulled out of the UK in 2001. They are now talking about coming back to the UK (have about 5 stores at the moment) and are talking about opening 400
In the early 70's in Fayetteville NC their was a place called Burger Chef. I don't ever remember seeing one before that. Have you ever heard of this joint?
Maybe not the FIRST Burger King, but I remember eating at a local BK in 1971. 2 years later I got a job at BK in Asbury Park, NJ. I was fascinated by the flame broiler and thought the burgers superior to Mickey D’S. Alas 50 years later the local BK closed in Lakehurst. I wasn’t surprised since all their burgers were LOADED with goop and the restaurant itself was dirty. Too bad.
I remember in High School the Special ed Class was doing Job Training at a Burger King They knew they couldnt pay the kids with money since it was for school but Burger King Management didnt feel right not giving us something so the decided free lunches were how they would thank the kids this was in Fall of 1993 I cant believe how much has changed since then

Yeah but if you don't get the burgers fresh at either McDonald's or Burger King they just aren't good. They really should do made to order burgers & fries people would wait & pay more for them if needed bc the quality is better when fresh.
I like them all (BK, McDonald's & Wendy's) although BK has gone from my #1 to #3 because their original chicken tenders have been replaced by their chicken nuggets! It makes no sense to me that such an iconic item that was around for so long suddenly be replaced by something else! How would you feel if KFC changed the Colonel's Original Recipe??????????? Wouldn't be the same now would it??? BK needs to 86 the chicken nuggets and bring back their original chicken crown tenders!!!!!

Burger King used to be decent, but they lack consistency from store to store and state to state even.. multiple suppliers doing the same thing leaves too much margin for error which is why McDonald's will succeed unfortunately while Burger King continues to decline

I liked Burger King better as a kid but it's not the same taste anymore. Burgers are just sad. Bland and dry. Their Impossible Whopper is pretty good though.
We never went to the big chain restaurants when I was a kid so I got experience superior food. When I went to these places as a young adult it was a bitter disappointment. The only places I liked were Wendy's and white castle

To me, Burger King burgers are indeed better then Mc Donalds in every way. I especially like the size of the Whopper compared to that of Mc Donalds.
