  • My fellow subcriber Rob asked me what I think about Toontrack's "EZMix2" and if it's worth buying. The answer is yes, though they are some things you need to be aware of. I show you how it works, how it sounds and what you can achieve - on drum samples like Steven Slate Drums and on a full mix.
    High quality headphones are recommended while watching!

    Thank you Mike for this video, it's very good explained and I get a good idea what you all can do with Ezmix2. I really do appriciate it very much.

    I use EZMix, and have both 1 & 2, and I prefer at times to mix quickly even though I have over 10 years of FOH audio engineering. I didn't know that there were expansion packs - will have to look into those. You made that band's song sound so much better. Thanks Mike, another educating tutorial.

      You've worked as a FOH engineer? Well, that's really cool.

      Yes, that's one of my job duties here at the church where I work and drumming with the worship band is another responsibility and my favorite part of my job.

    Nice video and I like the tune! I am a big EZmix2 fan, especially because of the Guitar, Bass and Master chains.

      I know, you like convenient solutions, don't you? ;) However, you cannot mix a whole song just with EZMix2 from my experience.

    good video man :) I'd heard of this software, but didn't know much about it, nice breakdown. On the next review/tutorial could you increase the volume a bit? It's a little hard to hear on my iPhone speakers

      65 Drums Thanks a lot, Justin. The audio is optimized for listening on decent headphones or studio speakers, like most reviews of mixing software. On iPhone speakers you won't hear the details anyway as barely anything below 400hz is noticeable.

    hey, what's the difference between Neutron 3 and EZmix 2?

    • @MikeLuke
      @MikeLuke  2 роки тому +1

      They are two different beasts. EZMix2 is made for people who want quick results, Neutron 3 is a more sophisticated plugin which needs more attention and knowledge about mixing and audio processing.

    Pretty cool but takes away the fun of personal mixing. Great for those who really don't care to go into details though for sure. If you want to learn about mixing and audio engineering, I'd do everything on your own and learn about frequencies, mixing etc.... Good stuff though for a quick mix process.

      gregthegroove Exactly! It's a nice solution for quick results, but as I said: it won't fix issues on tracks and you don't learn. I mix on my own, sometimes I use this on single tracks.
