No one is researching them | Age of Empires 2

In Age of Empires you will surely notice that in competitive games or 1 vs 1 at ranked games, the players tend to neglect some technologies. These technologies are either good or bad or completely situational. Let's take a look at five of them I think that players almost never research.

I never see enough LightCav on the field. Players seem to not quite understand just how good the upgrade from scout to lightcav is.

@Taydris0 I see it quite often BUT in ranked/competitive games. In regular games, or low/average elo players tend to be neglected, as you said.

I think the wonder in Arabia should have the same bonus as the Portuguese factory, so they would be seen more often, they are by far the most beautiful buildings in the game

The thing with Herbal Medicine is, it is too passive, its not like your enemy will wait for your units to heal, aoe2 is a very fast paced game which allows little room for being passive.

It's situational. I've seen pro players use it sometimes. But needs really good micro which is besically what you are saying.

@Bzhydack no doubt that's true. And imo all techs are useful but most player don't use strategies that include them. On the other hand, some players like Survivalist, who has a defensive style in his gameplay, uses often techs that we rarely see and with great effect I can say. So these techs are useful, there are just being neglected.
