Oh I loved this. A Place for Us is one of my favourite books of all time and I'm always looking for something similar. Must read America Is Not The Heart!
I did not love Memorial, but I did love Notes of a Crocodile. Very different styles of writing. Notes of a Crocodile left such a deep impression on me. I hope you enjoy it! Also, love how these recommendations are all less well-known (on booktube). I added America Is Not The Heart on my TBR!
seeing you highlighting permafrost fully made my day! i am catalan and adored this book 💚 i am looking forward to finally reading on earth we're briefly gorgeous since i think it'll be a new favourite
We read Notes of a Crocodile for our 90s bookclub (we did a video chatting about it too!) It was good but a bit bleak and a little dry in places but worth a read! Oh, also read permafrost recently and enjoyed it. Lots of books to add to my list! 💚 Siân x
This made me reaffirm that I need to read Asylum Road! Same with Memorial, I watched Grace's vlog about it and although she didn't love it, everything she said about it still made me buy it haha. I will check out Swimming in the dark as well!
Hi Hannah, thanks so much for this video - loved it! Would so love for you to do another one. I added scabby queen and care less to my huge tbr! PS loving your videos on Amsterdam life, living vicariously through you from Australia 😊
my year of rest and relaxation was my first moshfegh and i loved it but i dont think i could re-read it ever again b/c reading it the first time was such a moment. i fear it won't hit as good the second time around lol. i def need to read more books written by poets turned writers
I’d love to hear your thoughts on Notes of a Crocodile - I enjoyed it but also felt like I didn’t “get” a lot of it… I wasn’t sure if it was a language thing or if it just went over my head 😂 Also, I would love more of these videos

@@hannahmay11 👍 I made a mistake in the video saying it's a posthumous book when it isnt. Otherwise am sure all my facts are correct 😂
