    This is the second video of yours I've watched, and I want to buy a Thunder Laser like yesterday. You make it look so simple and easy for all the stuff I would like to do at home.

    Thanks for making this vid. Very good. I’ve done a lot of node editing and learned a lot the hard way. Would be nice to see an advanced node editing video.
    When making the nose cone part I would have deleted the drawn lines then deleted the corner node instead of deleting the lined. Your nodes would have stayed connected. Your way works too. Just a different way.
    Thanks again.

    It's great to see how passionately you share your experiences with others, thank you.
    In that there are several possibilities to reach the goal I would only say that with your nozzle construction you could also just add 2 points (where the 2 squares meet) and then delete the two outermost points, ie. without adding extra lines you get the same result even faster.
    Yours sincerely
    Bernd

    Hello, Great video. I was wondering if you could share the dimensions. I do not have my laser head but do have lightburn and and a very hands on person and would love to practice with those dimensions in light burn go get use to the tools in light burn.

    I found the snap to object doesn't snap it wobbles about not snapping to line, have to snap to grid as well, not sure if such features have changed over 2 years since this video was made.

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  Рік тому

      When using snapping line to line are you grabbing and moving on the line.? Grab on the line and drag it to the line you want to snap it to. Mine works great this way

    As Always, your videos always teach me something. As I become more proficient with Lightburn, I am constantly amazed at how much I still have to learn! Thank you again for a fantastic tutorial and a great idea! Do you have a preferred place to purchase the high density foam? Never cutting it prior, could you make some recommendations of settings? I also have the Nova 24. Thanks!

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  3 роки тому

      Look up laser safe foam and go from there, my setting for this project where 14mm/s and 25-30% power. I use the 4" lens to cut foam with about an 8mm focus. Be sure to raise the foam off the honeycomb at least by 1/2" I just use scrap wood around the outside edge. Thanks for your comments I enjoy reading them. Good luck with your 24. I love mine.

    Still having trouble with snap to object and snap to grid. Lightburn version 0.9.20
    Is there something I’m missing

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  3 роки тому

      if you have them turned on I don’t know of any other thing that would not make them function. you might reloading lightburn and if that doesn’t work send in a ticket to lightburn on their web site and see what’s up. I haven’t heard of this function not working. Sorry it’s not working and thanks for watching!

    Is this the only way to get complex shapes? Coming from mastercam this is the most frustrating and slow process of creating simple 2d shapes. Im trying to create boxes with finger joints but am I really going to have to create 100's of little squares and do this process of creating extra points to be able to delete others? Is there a way to create a line that is a set length and have it snap to 90*.
    Are there no programs that dont cost a grand for the home user, that allow you to input dimensions for the shape or line your trying to draw?

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  3 роки тому

      in Lightburn yes, it’s not a cad based system so if you are doing a lot of shapes that require allot of drafting you can always generate in a cad software and import into Lightburn. there are low cost options out there. I just wanted to show you how you can accomplish this with Lightburn, granted there are more efficient ways of doing it. thank you for watching an your comments!

      @@computercreationz wish I had access to what I have at work, at home. I have to look into some of the other cheap cad programs. Im just starting to venture into the hobbiest side of this.
