Those shoes are beyond perfect. You are a true craftsman and artist.
Love how rich that colour is. You're the best!
Toot your own horn, Preston! These turned out beautifully.
See, when I talk about craftmanship... THIS is what I'm talking about!!!
Thank you! I appreciate it
In My Opinion, The Best Chanel On UA-cam For Shoe Shine And Restoration ❤
Oh, there's no doubt.
Your videos over the years have prevented me from releasing built up anger and sexual frustration on my family. Before your videos life was rough and my hands would constantly hurt from hitting things. Now they are starting to heal and my relationship with my kids is improving. My overall image is becoming more bright. Just wanted to say thank you

@@ENDEAVOURSYourmother-yd6ki thank you for praying for me ❤️ it’s been getting easier and easier and my family now is showing a lot of forgiveness towards me

Very nice job Preston. You are a magician with shoes. Outstanding work.
Wow that mirror gloss shine is just perfect!
You made them look even better than in the original finish
Beautiful work Preston. The depth is still something I’m still striving to achieve. I picked up shoe shine and patina (amateur) during Covid and I attribute that to finding your channel. Thanks!
Masterful artistry
Good job!
Beautiful
Wow happy to see that still, in XXI century, there are people who understand what 👞 are , how to keep them shining and being elegant I am my 60+😅and remember being a young pupil, at that time you couldn’t go to school if your shoes were not clean and shiny.
Outstanding as always
Elegant shoes
Boo you are a magician...
❤
Oh wow....
You deserve all your success, Preston!
"Nice"! There's nothing that can equal a mirror finish. "Thanks" for sharing!
Excellent work, you’ve inspired me to hunt out some Saphir products here in Australia. My shoes have never looked so good.
A big fan of your work from Pakistan! 💫
Excellent job from beginning to end..The shoes look very sharp..
Hi I love the video
Wow you really out did yourself and your so right..its all in the leather but still you are truly a master at what you do..beautiful job
Thank you!
Beautiful shoes..
Another remarkable transformation Preston. You have inspired me to start restoring shoes as a hobby now that I recently retired. I'm in the UK so after watching every one of your videos, I have become a bit obsessed with hand made shoes (English of course 😁). Now thanks to eBay I have 25 pairs of Loakes, Grensons, Barker's, Trickers and Crockett & Jones. Countless shoe trees and too many Saphir products :-) I hope to learn as I go and get close to your level. Thanks for the inspiration and I eagerly await each of your videos.
Those look stunning.
I have a pair of Gaziano and Girling St James 2’s that I bought after watching your video on them and I’ve had them a month and I’ve yet to polish them because I’m worried they’re not going to look half as good as yours.
Last year I owned one pair of shoes. A pair of Vans. Then I bought some work boots and was looking for a quick shoe shine guide on UA-cam when I stumbled upon your channel. Now, about a year later, I have 40 odd pairs of shoes that I polish up and maintain and it’s become a new hobby for me.
So thanks for the inspiration and hopefully one day I can be on your level. I’ve done well on a few pairs, but the shine on the vamp in this video looks world class and maybe your most beautiful pair yet. I’ve still got a ways to go.
Well done!!
Amazing transformation...beautiful work!
Amazing shoes - and amazing work.🤩 Congratulations, Preston!
My God.. this is beautiful
Wonderfull job in The Wonderfull and NICE shoes🎩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spectacular work!
incredible shoes Antonio Meccariello the best
Never heard of this maker, v impressive work. I’m tentatively getting into patina , but working on the basics first. I noticed it’s helpful to go out in daylight when mirror shining, often you’re “there” or have done enough but indoor lighting just doesn’t make it look as good.
AM is truly one of the best shoemakers out there. Thanks for keeping me updated
Stunning! Semper Fi
Thx for your clip . All your video have insprise me,and i learn alot skill from this .keep do it 🥰🥰
Amazing work.
Amazing, really amazing 👌
You are the man! Semper Fi
Shalom family, these are Sweet!!!
Thank you! I appreciate it
This channel is awesome! I wore a lot of dress shoes and boots during my mid twenties. Restoring and maintaining the clean look was my favorite part of it. Unfortunately, they aren't a part of my wardrobe at this point of my life. I live in a majorly rural area on a small ranch at this point. Nonetheless, I have two types of boots, a pair of cheapo thrasher cowboy boots, and a few pairs of dress cowboy boots. Currently debating on doing a dye and shine on a pair that I just bought. Thats how I found your channel. Cowboy boots are kind of tricky because I think they need to stay fairly understated. I typically only shine the toe to a slight luster for this reason.
Beautiful 😍
the shoe looks amazing! do you have any videos showing water damaged shoes? i have a pair of black leather chukkas that took a beating during a rain storm and the leather doesn't look smooth anymore. it looks swelled up blotchy. thanks for the great vids.
I’m new to the Chanel, but so far love your work! Truly stunning! I would love for you to review and polish CNES shoes if you haven’t done so already. Very nice hand-welted shoes from Vietnam.
Wonderful, relaxing video. Could you give me any advice on the best shoe product to prevent my leather shoes from cracking? Seems whatever I use, the leather cracks at the creases. Lost a lot of wonderful shoes 😢. Please help, any recommendations gladly appreciated
Hey Preston,
I appreciate the informative and entertaining videos. I have a couple of “housekeeping questions “.
1. Gloves vs No gloves.
I know you wear no melt gloves when using acetone, but sometimes you rub in Saphir product without gloves, other times you’re wearing black nitrile gloves. What determines bare fingers or gloves?
2. Hand washing
If you go naked fingers, what soaps/lotions do you recommend to clean polish, waxes or dyes off of your hands?
Thanks!
Scotty
Good Lord those shoes are shiny. I can see the ceiling fans reflection on the sole of the shoe
Great channel. Always impressed. Your advice has taken my shoes to the top level.
Question: How do you get a mirror shine on corovan hide? It seems the natural oils in the skin are preventing it.
Beautiful work ! In your other videos, you use gloves. What material are those gloves made of ? With my latex gloves, they melt using Saphir creme or polish.
how did they end up as they did at the start of the video?
The owner was removing some wax and the finish didn’t it hold up to acetone. Never seen anything like it before
hey I am frresh out of navy bootcamp and I found your mirror shine video and it helped wonders for my oxfords however I was wondering if you knew any tips for shining drill boots as they are a much ruffer leather than oxfords and my RDCs just gave us a shine kit and said figure it out.
this may be a bit outside your area of expertes but every little bit helps.
thank you
WOW, scary-good!
Fantastic stuff! I admire your work. Just a question, I live in a third-rate country where is impossible to get "Saphir" cream; therefore, I thought of the combination of water and alcohol you mentioned in a previous video. How is the ratio? (50/50?). Do you apply this after the cream? Thank you.
Firstly, the work you did is just impressive. Secondly, I just did a mirror shine on my new Allen Edmonds. The toe cap on one shoe is spider cracked this morning. Any thoughts on the cause? Too much water in the buffing stage? Thanks in advance!
Good afternoon. Have learned a lot from your videos. Are you familiar with Sepol shoes? I have ordered me the dressy sneaker type. Do you feel that I should condition them out of the box with the conditioner you sell? Also can I slit shine the sneaker line it's the Denver shoe 👞. I live the different colors of the shoe. My thoughts were to use the neutral wax polish on it. What are your thoughts? Are should I use all different polishes on the shoe with the colors in the shoe?
Currently trying to improve a pair of secondhand baileys(?) shoes i've been using for the last two years. IDK who had them before me, but my friend found them at the dump. Right now i'm kinda just trying to get the creases out because there's a ton of gouges in the toe. They were in bad shape when I got them, but I used your videos to get them at least.... passable from a distance. I've worn them every single day at my job, and they've just gotten rattier and rattier. Worse than these probably. I've worn through the rubber soles on the heel and into the leather block. When I have the money I plan on buying a new pair that's nice, but as for now they're really all i've got haha. Unfortunately I doubt even you could save them at this point, but if you wanted to try your luck for some challenging content I'd be happy to send them your way when I move on to my next pair 😂
What would be your recommendation for saphir renovateur on a shoe like this with painted/ brushed finish? I understand that it has cleaners/solvents in it which can strip the finish in certain cases
Definitely try Saphir Napa leather balm. It was designed specifically for delicates
The Patina of these shoes is out of this world. why AE doesn't has such class :(
Very nicely done, Preston!
Your mirror shines always look very nice, yet they always make me wonder what happens after the owner wears them the first time.
As the mirror shine goes quite far up the shoe, it is bound to crack on the first steps where the leather will naturally bend. Micro-cracks, obviously, but still visible. Do you get many comments like that from your clients?
Hi Preston, I love your videos.
I have a pair of Santoni shoes in smoke grey that I'd like to give some color.
Do you think it would be enough to use Saphir Renomat cleaner before using dye, or should I go for the Saphir Decapant or acetone before using dye?
(I like the 'shading' of the shoes as they curently are, I just want to add some color..)
can you do like a series of thrifting then transforming/restoring - ugly/worn out shoes pls!
I just recently developed a passion for dress shoes. Big fan of double monk straps brown, brogues closed lacing. Your videos are awesome, your work is art. Can you send me a pair of your work, I can’t afford any right now and I’d love to have one of yours. I will take great care of them and when I learn to restore I’ll do the same to those in need too. Thanks in advance.
10:37 I mean, I’d like to see you in person and visit the Allen Edmonds stand, and I would love to have some shoeshine from you, but I guess sadly, Germany is a bit too far away to show up
Question: I hear its good to appy conditioner to your shoes once or twice a year. Is it necessary to remove the wax so the conditioner can get to the leather or can I apply over the wax?
Hey,I just wanted to know if you are still making UA-cam videos, I see you haven't posted one in 5 months. The reason I ask is because I intend to purchase a pair of AE off Ebay and I would like to send them to your for a full restoration. I wanted to buy a brand new pair but after reading some of the reviews of the downgrade of quality I think I want to purchase an older pair. I love watching your videos I hope you continue making them and I'm hoping to get the pair I'm looking at by next Friday. Well I hope to speak to you soon and hope all is well.
Do you have any suggestions on brands/ lengths of flat laces?
Better than the original dude 💪🏻
Do you have a Video that shows me how to Shine up Wing tips Glass shine.please. thank you
Hello, I really like your program. I would like to know if you can translate it into Spanish. Thank you
Aaaasnd Preston made them look better than new. Boom.
Will Saphir items be available for purchase at the meet and greet?
Hi Preston , do you happen to know anyone who does Blake stitch resole in San Diego?
Better than the original.
Hello, where did you get your shoe shine brush? I've seen it is says "Delmar #999".
id wear those
@theelegantoxford I would like to know what your recommendation is to slightly darken veg tanned kangaroo leather and the best care for it. (Grant Stone Edward Kangaroo Rust)
What's the best wax to shine up Rucci wing tips ox.
More videos! Once a month at least.
Where is your store located? Are you in Orange County?
Hi Preston. I used to work for Allen Edmonds and I have many brand new and lightly used shoes that I would like to sell, where is the best place to do that?
Join us at The Allen Edmonds Enthusiasts Group on FB. I’m a moderator there.
please recommend good leather shoes that can be purchased in india
can you help sir 🙏 I got old johnston and murphy shoes
Out of curiosity, which two colors of cream polish did you use after you dyed them?
I used dark brown 05 and medium brown 35.
@@TheElegantOxford thank you. Superb work.
What did the guy do to those Meccariellos to have them end up like that?! Criminal I tell you! Criminal!
They were a test fitment pair for bespoke so the finish was faulty.
@@TheElegantOxford ahhh I see! A fitting pair. Great work restoring those, for a fitting pair they look very finished after your touch.
"Now go home and get your fukking shinebox " -Billy Batts
If these are beaten up I think there's no hope for my ankle shoes 😅
hi preston you have lip synch delay in the first part
So weird because my original video doesn’t but it uploaded onto UA-cam with a delay.
I wrote to you and didn't receive a response
it's one of those videos that I just can't watch because of these tiny cuts to keep the audio seamless. It seems to be the new fad of AI editing, but every time it happens I flinch and it ruins all the relaxation that usually comes with these kind of videos. I also think it looks really clunky. Had to stop watching Trenton & Heath for the same reason.
Fake shine.
I know.
@elegantoxford
I've tried to reach you via email and on this platform but have not succeeded. How do I contact you and why don't you respond to me?
Good job 👍
