Excellent, I enjoyed this very much. If I can make one suggestion, you might want to mention in the title that you're playing an 8-string. I think more people would be drawn to the video to hear what the instrument sounds like, in addition to the selection itself.
There’s good methods out there for RH playing. You just need an experienced teacher that can teach them and be interested in teaching you with a good structure. You just need to be able to practice frequently and “keep it real” in which levels songs you want to work.

Yes, i use Savarez basses from stringsbymail.com. Those are probably the best option. It's hard to make all the strings sound good on an 8-string with all that extra tension on the top.
Drew Henderson I think part of the issue could also be the body size is increased and this puts the internal air mass to a different fundamental than the commonly aimed for G - A frequencies? Does it make the trebles sound a little darker on their higher harmonics?
