Wow that's a gorgeous page Karen. I'm not a huge lover of green either but it's perfect for that napkin..so bright and spring like. Great work around too😊. Hope you're recovering well from your surgery ❤
Thank you Jennifer...it's one of my favorite recent pages and is on display in studio. Hand is healed enough for me to create today...so it's a great day. Missed it so much. K
Thank you. This video was made pre surgery. Bandage is off now and I did create for the first time yesterday (latex glove over hand so all the mediums dont get in wound)
I love that keep your videos in real time or tell roughly about how long something takes to do. Thank you for that! Hope your hand is doing better and is healing well.
Beautiful page! Thanks for showing us your mistake and how you fixed it….we never would’ve known. I don’t like green either, or brown too, for that matter. Hope you’re healing well.
Good morning Karen, I enjoyed watching the video. If you were to put it on canvas, what glue would you use. Is it just that simple, glue canvas and place the picture? Do you put a top coat on your finished product? Do you have a Facebook page? Appreciate the help.
Yes it is! When I work on a canvas the process and supplies are exactly the same. Canvas has some give so be aware when stamping or stenciling on it...alternatively I used cradled wood panels ( they are awesome to work on) I don't seal or varnish art journal pages but to varnish on canvas or wood panel I use Min Wax Polycrylic varnish..usually in satin finish. I do have a facebook group called Art Journaling and Mixed Media creations. K
Actually I dont put the art journal page on a canvas. What I meant was I would recreate the page directly on the canvas. That being said, a canvas is pliable and has give which makes it hard to stencil and stamp and to glue on an art journal page if you wanted to do that as you asked. Try gluing on the page onto a cradled wood panel..it's a solid surface with no give so should be easier. Use a brayer to push down....maybe that will give you better results. Hope that helps. K
I like the little fairy ☺️
Thanks...I am sure I will use her somewhere soon. K
turned out great, thanks for the tip- no on the fairy.
Thank you..happy creating
Hello Karen. Beautiful page, TY for showing us your boo boo and how to fix it. Take care and see you soon 🤗
Do you do gesso resist technique?
@@KarenBurchill I haven't yet but I want to.
