@@KrisNChrisHenrywe had pretty good dives but nowhere as epic as yours according to one of the guides Angel. visibility was still mediocre. The guides told us you guys had big swells and waves and current that scare even seasoned divers, but it was the same conditions that brought epic dives
@@KrisNChrisHenry you wont believe the coincidence, one of our dive mates on the boat (Ben) bumped into two of yours in Quito and they compared notes for the two back-to-back voyages 😂😂
My wife and I loved your video. A couple of questions - what month were you there? We’re going in March 2025 and were wondering if the water would be warmer. We’re only snorkeling, do you have any recommendations for us to maximize our enjoyment on this trip?
Hi there, we were on this liveaboard December 23 - December 30, 2024. The water temperature should be warmer in March, according to what I've read. We stayed one week on the island of Santa Cruz in the town of Puerto Ayora the week prior to the liveaboard (see my previous video). We are still in the Galapagos, currently on the island of Isabela from December 30 - January 7, 2025. I will be producing a video of our time here, but it has great snorkeling right off the town of Puerto Villamil near the ferry pier. The island also has good tours for snorkeling. From there we'll head to the island of San Cristobal and stay in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. We plan on doing the 360 tour there, which we heard is great for scuba diving. Travel between the islands is via ferry.
@Fuzzypigproductions Near the main Galapagos islands, the water temps were 20 - 21 c (68 - 70 f). Darwin and Wolf were 24 - 25 c (75 - 77 f). From what I've read, the temps in March could be 1 to 2 c warmer.
Hi i have made an amateurish video for the Humboldt Explorer trip (30 Dec 2024) as well, for some reasons I cannot paste the link here, feel free to see the video on my youtube page thanks :)
Thank you both for this lovely video! Please, continue to inspire us ❤
Hi Simone, thanks for the kind words.
I was in the voyage after yours 30 Dec 2024 - 6 Jan 2025 on Humboldt Explorer (Room 1) Nice to meet you Kris and Chris :)
Hopefully you had the same epic experience. Did the visibility get any better? It was just ok on our trip.

@@KrisNChrisHenry Very nice video you have made btw, you inspired us to create one for our cruise as well :)

@@kokwailam5 There were some epic swells, my bruises and cuts are almost healed, plus some new holes in our wet suits. But it was so worth it.

Just spotted in your title that you went in December. Sorry I missed that earlier. Still, any idea of the water temperature you experienced vs March?

Great video, not at all amateurish. The video intro is really nice. And it captures the wildlife perfectly.
@ Many thanks for your kind words, hope we can have a chance to dive together somewhere one day!!
