I am impressed. I had no idea that this was the first engine that each of you had ever rebuilt. I thought it was only the first water cooled Porsche engine that you guys ever had rebuilt.

Around the curve and down Mulsanne Straight 😁. I noticed the intake cam torque to yield fasteners were 987 part #'s and they must be an improved part. Looking good and soon the 911 will be running again.

Nice! Interesting technique with the 25Nm step - I worried it might let the cam spin while you went to 50Nm without the lock, but apparently that was the sweet spot! Tool fit perfectly in mine after a few spins, but I still have 2.5˚ of cam deviation for some reason on one bank, 1.5˚ on the other. Oh well!

What will we be doing in 50 years when we have to rebuild an old engine with torque to yield bolts that were used to hold the important bits together?
