  • Iodine is an essential mineral that the body needs.
    Your thyroid gland uses it to make thyroid hormones, which help control growth, repair damaged cells and support a healthy metabolism.
    Unfortunately, up to a third of people worldwide are at risk of an iodine deficiency.
    In this video we're looking at 5 signs and symptoms to look out for.

Himalayan salt does not naturally contain iodine either but it does contain other important minerals. You can get iodized sea salt/himalayan salt as well.
      Fun fact via Google: "Borrowing an idea from the Swiss, a group of U.S. experts suggested adding iodine to salt. Iodized salt was first sold in Michigan in May 1924, and across the nation later that year. Within 10 years, the percentage of people in Michigan with goiter had fallen from about 30% to under 2%."

      The benefits of Iodide are available in peer reviewed medical journals, no one should listen to anyone claiming this essential life saving element is poisonous.
      It removes the dangerous thyroid hormone blocking halogens Bromide, Chlorine, and Fluoride from the thyroid as well as the entire body.
      The 2 main thyroid hormones T3 and T4 can't be synthesized without iodine. T4 (Thyroxin) contains 4 iodine atoms, and T3 (Triiodothyronine) contains 3 iodine atoms.
      *To sum-up: no iodide = no thyroid hormones.
      It's so great to hear all the wonderful effects iodide has had on your health.
      I wish you continued good luck and excellent health and never let anyone talk you out of iodide supplementation. 🤜🤛

      Unless the salt is a pink or mineral salt then Iodized salt is worthless, it has no nutritional value and can actually be harmful to your health! Most iodized salt is table salt, which is highly processed and it is awful for our bodies, not to mention how horrible the highly processed flours are that most bread is made of, it too is really bad for us. I wouldn't rely on this bread and salt combo for proper nutrition!

    With the fact that Iodine can be used topically for breast issues, removing moles, and a few other things - as well as the fact that you can ingest it... I am wondering if I can possibly use it either on the back of my ear or possibly in my ear. I experienced a full complete loss of hearing in one ear as a child after having an MMR "sharpie" given "on schedule" at one of my wellness visits before attending school. I could hear perfectly out of both ears before that happened so I know what it felt like and I would sure give the world to have that hearing back. (I sing in an audition ensemble at college and I also play classical piano)... Anyone know if I could use it to possibly help regain my hearing in that ear?

      There is skin testing can be done with iodine.
      So far my understanding is:
      apply a fist size patch topically to your forearm (or lightest color of skin area) at night before bed.
      {sunlight will effect the color, making the skin testing near inconclusive}
      If the patch completely disappears within 12 hours you have a iodine deficiency.
      {PLEASE DO, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH}
      So to speak, I wouldn't apply directly internally to the ear, however applying a patch behind and/or around the ear; after testing, as a experiment could be beneficial.
      Obviously, taking all precautions to avoid any ill effects you may begin to notice or experience.

    Wow! I can't believe you call yourself a nutrition authority and recommend people to add more iodine salt (table salt) to their diet in order to overcome their iodine deficiency 😱 could you come up with a shittier advice? First of all, nobody should ever consume this toxin called table salt, which is highly processed and full of toxic additives like anti caking agents. People instead should use sea salt or rock salt. Secondly, deficiency in iodine or any other trace minerals for that matter can never be overcome by food alone. One must supplement with the elemental trace minerals they are deficient in for a while (minimum of 3 months as a rule of thumb). Thirdly, for those deficient in iodine I'd highly recommend they supplement with Lugol's iodine, and certainly not table salt.

    Have you ever lied even once, stolen anything, used God’s name in vain, looked with lust or worse sexual sins? Then you’re not a good person in God’s eyes and in danger of the judgement of God which will send you to hell (a terrible place of pain and sadness FOREVER & EVER & EVER & EVER….). Remember God is the Holiest such that one small lie will induce his severe wrath. Good news is Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead so that you may receive forgiveness of AALL YOUR SINS (No matter how bad or how many). But you aren’t forgiven unless you REPENT OF YOUR SINS & BELIEVE IN JESUS AS YOUR GOD (repentance means turning from sin and doing your absolute best not to do it again, also ask Jesus to rid you of addictions that you’re struggling to shake away-James 4:7). God has blessed us with Great food to eat (kings in the past don’t eat like we do today), shelter, freedoms, fun, medicine, pets to enjoy their company, friends, nice music to listen to and many more things to enjoy. Yet we don’t give him thanks, blaspheme his HOLY name etc God wants to give the free gift of eternal life (9999999999999999999999999… years of extreme happiness) but we need to humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways. Believe in Jesus (God wants to have a relationship with you-like a father and his children). 14 Blessed are those who [g]do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 [h]But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
