Internationally renowned ice climber Will Gadd takes ice climbing to the next level by scaling the frozen sections of the world’s largest flowing waterfall, Niagara Falls. Gadd, a world-renowned ice climber and paraglider from Alberta, Canada, has traveled to the ends of the earth to find the world’s most challenging climbs, but Niagara Falls, one of his home country‘s most iconic landmarks, is a lifelong mission that he previously thought impossible...until now.

Canadian Will Gadd - Ice Climbing on Frozen Niagara Falls. You got to watch this.
It took him over an hour to accomplish this feat. The first person ever to do this.

Annette M Salmon Apparently, Hueniken, 34, who spent hours huddled in an ice cave part way up the route to avoid being hit with chunks of ice, did the climb too, behind Gadd.

Dimitrius096 I believe it's the similar to the way an icicle forms.
A thin layer freezes where it starts, then another thin layer freezes on that, eventually the ice moves down the face.
It doesn't all freeze at once like a puddle on it's side.

Jake calvin Umm, no. Niagara Falls goes from the land-fall American side to Goat Island which is also American. Then there's the smaller Bridal Falls within the island itself (as Goat island is actually a series of islands, including the Three Sisters), then there's Horseshoe Falls which goes from Goat Island, and doing a U shape up to the Canadian Side. The Horseshoe falls is the safest to travel over in a barrel because there aren't rocks underneath unlike the American Falls (or Niagara Falls, as it's called).
