It was 2007 when I played my first DJ MAX game, which was Portable 2(my favorite being Hottunes in 2010). Never did I think that the DJMAX franchise would become this popular, because I was a fan of it since its early PSP days. Even though I am really proud this once niche franchise is now more widely known and available, I do feel nostalgic about those days when it was not as well known, when only a few friends of mine knew it and played LAN multiplyer at each other's houses. I remember playing so many hours in the mainline PSP titles(DMP 1, 2, Clazziquai, BS, Hottunes, Fever) that the ol' classic songs are now basically engrained in my memories.... Ask to Wind, Oblivion, Nightmare, Divine Service, Eternal Memory & Memoirs being the most memorable for me.
Never knew about DJ Max until now, and I'm now realizing I have some dj max songs in my playlist for a while. Also those jackets look real nice just in general. I'd want one!
DJMAX has put out so many music over the years, many of them find their ways into people's playlist lol. I really really love the jacket as well. Great-looking practical merch is the best kind of merch in my books.

that was so cool! I discovered DJ Max waaaay back in the psp days and played a bit online for pc and a lil more when respect came out. It gave me a huge shock when one of the songs Feel randomly popped up in Lies of P when one of the Holo girls was playin on stream so seeing this pop up and the community still going strong today makes me really happy
It's a miracle how thos franchise was able to come back in full swing. As a long time fan I was very happy to be there. It's always cool to hear DJMAX stuff out in the wild like Lies of P.
Man this video was so good. The whole build up of you getting in line and meeting fans was so cool. Watching you touch that tic tac toe t shirt I'm waiting for sent shivers up my spine and the cap. I can't wait untill late February when they are sending them out. Glad to see you out there in the deep end with DjMax and its creators and fans. The racing merch i tried to get in the past, but the websites for international orders would never work for me. Hopefully things will be as easy as the Heights international orders in future.

This was awesome, I’d never heard of DjMax before but your passion and love for it was infectious. The merch looks incredible as well, I personally struggle with a lot of merch because I want it to both represent the brand but also loook good and finding that balance is tough but seems really well done in this instance. Great to see more diverse vlog content and keen for upcoming ones
Thank you for the comment. I try to mix in my other interests in between hololive goodness. As you said, DJMAX did an awesome job with great looking merch that is very practical. They do some of the best jobs in terms of visuals for their game as well, so I recommend you to check them out on Steam!
This was interesting to watch since the only thing I knew about DJMAX beforehand was from the Girls' Frontline collab between them back when I played. Pretty sure it was the first collab in GFL or at least for the international client. Always cool to see the people behind the games who put in their blood and sweat. Great vlog as always hwikky!

The fan's are super passionate. You are so passionate to wait for 6 hours! I know DJ Max Portable... Other's PSPs has broken analogue thumb nubs, my PSP had to replace buttons twice due to playing too much DJ Max Portable series. Your keyboard is so cool now with all those signatures.
It was one of the most challenging days with the coldness and the long wait 🥶 I figured a lot of people played or at least heard of the Portable series. I still have my original PSP in a box somewhere. Good memories for sure. And yes, I am super happy with how the keyboard is turning out!
DJMAX is my favorite game of all time, which is funny, because I never heard of it before Respect came out. I jumped through some crazy hoops to buy it on PS4 when it wasn't available in the US yet (had to make a SEA playstation account and all that fun stuff). I've got almost 600 hours on it on Steam, far more than any other game in my library. I loved your video, I would have stood in line for this thing for 6 hours too, it's cool seeing mega fans for this game. Not one of my IRL friends has ever even heard of it.
Thank you for watching! I am glad that Respect opened a new era for DJMAX and brought so many new players. The series was at the brink of death before that, so it was super refreshing to see this kind of a store open AND be so popular. It's a great game to recommend to experts and novices too, so I hope you get at least some of your friends on board, and maybe even visit a DJMAX store together if they do another one.

I first heard of DJMax in around 2018 when they collabed with Girls' Frontline. I like their designs, characters and songs but I already play a lot of other games to get into this one 😢 Still, it was really interesting seeing the passion from fans and devs here! El Fail does deserve more love btw!

Yeah the weather was absolutely unbearable, so I did end up returning to the coffee shop twice during the wait. I stayed outside for the most of it though so I don't miss out on the action for the vlog.

Iconic songs indeed. PSP era of DJMAX was also iconic in its own ways. You can play them in their latest game DJMAX Respect V on Steam as well!
