The way the writer exploited tht plot hole in Barry's back story & used "The Bootstrap Theory" to hve Barry close the loop was genius!

I did always love how in the comics reverse flash hated flash so much that he actually just ruins not only Barry’s life but his own just to make it so that in all of time, Barry needs reverse flash just to become flash. Therefore making everything reverse flash does, necessary for Barry to become the flash

Barry dosen't need Eobard because in the original timeline his parents were living and he still became the Flash, RF can only ruin his life in ways that don't stop Barry from being the Flash

Eobard Thawne The Reverse Flash is one of the best SuperVillains. The Negative Speed-Force is one of my fav powersets, it's up there with "The Omega Affect/Force" of DARKSEID

Love those time paradoxes. Barry becomes the lighting bolt that gave himself powers. The batman who laughs became the darkest knight who then becomes the bullet that killed his parents.

not gonna lie, I really hate time travel story arcs involving paradoxes as “part of the fun”

One reason I'm looking forward to the Rippaverse comics is that they will intentionally avoid canon twisting shenanigans like time travel and alternative universes/multiverses.

So, someone had to start Barry on this infinite loop that he’s in and it isn’t Barry himself. Regardless of being responsible for giving himself powers someone put everything into motion for Barry to become this and I don’t think it’s professor zoom.
