Just came back to Benny’s videos after a few months. I’m deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He was one of the UA-camrs that first got me into comics. I always liked them but I never got around to actually buying physical copies. So Benny was my way of experiencing these comics for the first time. If I ever buy one, it’s going to be hard to not hear him narrating. Rest well, Benny.
He had one hell of a voice
No s*** the same for me bro. I always liked the heroes in comics but never had the patience to go through a comic. You know and he was the one that got me to go and actually look that info up and try to find comics to buy. When I tell the stories of the comics to my friends, I use his voices as best I can and they love that s***. None of this would have happened without him taking the time ever blood, sweat and tears to make these. God we're going to miss him
I honestly did not keep up with comicstorian in the last 2-3 years and just found out about the shocking passing of Benny. I truely respect this man and what he did for me as a kid and an adult, may he rest in peace man life can be so unpredictable
I had a similar situation, where I'd not watched any Comicstorian videos (or many YT videos at all, honestly). Went into my "watch later" playlist and went through one of their I had on there for a while, then saw Rob's "I lost my friend" recommended and my heart dropped. I was hoping it wasn't what it looked like, and was just a mess by the end. Ben and Rob's respective channels had revitalized a love for comics and superheroes that had faded from me, mainly due to the common dregs of life like working shit jobs, bad home life etc.
I can’t believe it’s been 2 months since he’s passed… it’s not fair sometimes.
Apparently some didn't know. There was a note from Dan 50 minutes ago.
I’m not trying to be rude by saying this, but I’m pretty sure Ben didn’t want this channel to turn into a memorial for him in this way. I understand everyone is sad as am I about what happened, but do we all really need to spam rip comments on every video for months now. The channel it self is making it clear all the videos are in his loving memory. Let us all appreciate that he brought us together for comics and stories he and all of us enjoy and love! Let’s make it a celebration instead of constant sadness together! He is gone and that is very sad and I do sincerely hope he rests in peace Ben was and will continue to be a great person! With that said we should try to celebrate what he did for all of us and how many people he brought into the hobby. Let’s all together keep up the great work he did by spreading joy together! I hope anyone who reads this will have a wonderful day, I personally am going through extremely hard times and just want his memory to not be of sadness but happiness, that he did great things and brought us all together. Again I do not mean to be rude have a great day everyone!

Thank you it’s becoming annoying with all due respect. We all love him but we dont need to keep spamming comments about it. We move on by watching and supporting his channel and the people running it.
Thank you so much for pointing this out. We all loved and miss Benny but I don't think spamming RIP in the comments section is going to make anything better for any of us. I didn't want to be the first person to say anything about this so I am glad that someone else is finally addressing this.
I completely agree. I also believe this is part of the grieving process and I'm sure the memorial comments will decrease over time. Many, like myself, have never had someone they've followed for years on UA-cam suddenly die. And time works differently on the internet than IRL. For most things, it goes quicker; but for those of us who would only watch his videos every few weeks or months, I suspect our grieving process is actually prolonged. Furthermore, folks like me have no one IRL who can really empathize because they never followed him. So, for many of us, these comment sections are the only places we know to grieve. Heck, this is my first time ever commenting here about losing Benny and as I'm typing this I'm realizing that I really needed to share my grief with you guys sooner. Now my thoughts & emotions are all jumbled and I don't know how to wrap this up so I'll just end with how I started. You are 100% correct; just be patient with us. We're still hurting & processing.

DC Comics Earth One was pure unadulterated awesomeness.
This man has been my doorway into the superhero comic world for the past 6 years. I may not have known him personally but it feels as if he’s been there to help me get through the past 6 years when things have gotten rough and motivation to keep moving forward was lost. He entered my life on his cover of Injustice 2. And ever since then he has been a true Superhero to me. My condolences go out to Ms. Potter and the rest of the family.
For some of us, Ben was the one who first introduced us to comics, for others they just appreciated his commentary, but for all of us he was someone who we loved, the comic world won’t ever be the same without him, still hurts, I hope he rests in peace 🙏

My condolences. I haven't watched any of Benny's videos for a few months. It was him telling us the story arcs that would make me buy the graphic novel or buy the story arc. I keep up with my monthly manga like Kamen Rider Spirit and other manga titles I read. I buy certain comic titles however if I heard about a good story arc from Benny I would read it myself.

i hope Benny knows how much he meant to a lot of people all over the world. he had a big impact to me and my friends's childhood, we would discuss Marvel/DC and almost every time it was stories from a ComicStorian video. since comic books aren't that common here or way too expensive, his videos are the only thing accessible to us. sending love and prayers to him and his family, from the other side of the world, Indonesia.
