You have more birds than anyone I know. Good news is that as the crap flakes off the disc, you're applying N, P and K!
I like to skip ahead and save as many steps as possible. Just ask the girls I go out with.
Ross was 9650 Agco horses power , what red wire round steering wheel? What do need fix on 9650 agco ? What happen to white 4-180 need more work? Thanks for answering my questions great video keep up good work thanks
The 9650 is around 150 hp, the 4-180 is around 180 hp
You mentioned that word unfinished as the story of your life? Well just wanted to thank you for all the videos you have FINISHED in the last month. Not sure how you would have time for other things!
Thanks for the entertainment Ross!
Thanks John! It’s been a pretty busy schedule but somehow I managed to get one out every day.
Keep those flying raccoons in Indiana! I have enough trouble with the normal ones here in Iowa.
🤣🤣🤣
Ross is the 9650 built on the oliver chassis or frame tubb it's similar
It’s a white tractor with a Deutz engine
Thanks for the video. That’s a really nice tractor
Thanks John!
Seat time soon , by Ross The Oliver Dude .
Thanks Scott! Hopefully!!!
Well, let's try this again. Wouldn't let me post a comment yesterday unless I was "Signed In". Ross, loved the video. I think UA-cam is screwing with your "Stuff" . Well I don't remember what I said yesterday but it was good 😂. Keep 'em coming Buddy! 👍🇺🇲👏😉
Thanks Jack!
You need to install a backup camera on that rig. They aren't that expensive.
I know, I’ve looked into that I think it would be super handy.
Wow Ross fuel sending unit must be made out of unobtainium 🤣🤣🤣. I hope the weather starts getting better so you can start getting in the fields. Thanks Michael
Thanks Michael!
I had my 6175 and 6195 power shift recalibrated and both were much better especially when shifting from 9 to 10 . I still try to avoid shifting between the two gears.
I’ve done it before, I just need to do it again sometime when I get the time.
Planting dates: There's some research that showed for corn you might as well wait because if the ground is warmish enough for early planting 55F but you get a cold rain/snow dropping the effective soil temp down to 40F then most of the corn seed rots. Beans can handle more weather fluctuations so plant your beans early and corn later. I'm planting corn into green standing rye, then terminating the rye after corn emergence -- regen ag with no till and no chemicals. Last year I did tillage no chemicals so going the next step. Getting all my herbicide, insecticide, and NPK vitamins from cover crops -- to grow high protein heirloom corn.
I know, it’s kind of flip-flop from used to. Now you need to plant beans early and wait on corn
The parking brake is just fine as long as you are stopped. Never ever engage when moving!! Agco has a update for it and it is much stronger we installed it in a 6195 . Some time the bolt that it pivots on comes out which was our case , I have heard of guys breaking the bolt and that can be terrible to remove.
I’m trying very hard to not have to go down that road so I just try not to use it at all.
Does your father run a tractor for you once in a while? Just having a tractor driver in the spring is a huge help.
He never lets me!
Actually I really don’t like driving that big thing.
He has before! He’s usually busy watching my nieces so I don’t want to disturb him from that.
Take a few minutes to calibrate that Funk transmission and the reverse will be smooth when inching!
Yes, I need to take the time to do that again
On the rubber that hold your side panels on try putting on a hose clamp to keep it from over expanding. You need to experiment to get the right fit.
That’s a great idea!
Back in the early 90's I worked at a seed company that farmed and also had a hog operation. I worked at the hog farm and also ran the tractors. I pulled an 18.5' Landoll Tilloll with a John Deere 4650 fwa and a Deutz Allis 9150 fwa that was the Allis orange color. Those Tillolls make an excellent seed bed. I thought I was in heaven as a teenager running those two tractors as a kid. At the time our 9150 was just a few years old. It was a nice tractor but the 9600 series Agco Allis tractors where even nicer. We also had a John Deere 8960 articulated 4wd we pulled a 30' Landoll Tilloll with. Deutz tractors have a special place in my heart. I know the 9150 is basically a White with a Deutz engine. It was a pretty good tractor. We also demoed a 9190 Deutz Allis for a bit that was lime green but had been painted Allis Orange in order to sell it by the dealer. I also ran a little Deutz Allis 6150 fwa tractor to bush hog with. Those where good times back then. The farm later got a Agco Allis 9690 about the time I graduated. We had an R50 Gleaner combine and switched to an R60 combine with the orange stripe. Later the farm went with an R62 and later an R72 Gleaner combine. We lost our local Agco dealer so the farm switched back to all green tractors and combines for many years. They now run two combines and have switched to a Case IH 8250 and 9250 combine a few years back. They are also starting to switch over to Case IH tractors since they are not happy with the company that took over the local Deere dealer. Yeah, I know what you mean about having to make entrances wider for bigger farm equipment. I bought a farm about six years ago that I had to make all entrances wider.
Don't make laugh. It hurts too much.
There was a lot of repainting to sell stuff in those days. No one liked that spring green
I like old silver 35:16 35:16 it's much better looking orange one it's a tractor they all do job that all for what u want
They both been pretty good ones.
Is the 4-180 power shift
No, they never were. It has a high and low that you have to stop the shift. The smaller 4-150 had the Hydraul shift
Hey Ross, to help me with hydraulic hose hookup, I spray painted behind the tips, a different color for each pair, then the one that goes in the top coupler I have a cable tie around. Simple, cheap, and works well. Saves much sadness!
Things can be a challenge when you're working by yourself...a bad day can start with the cows out, a tractor that won't start, and an implement you need with a flat tire. About all you can say is Lord give me strength (and patience). LOL
🤣 I know the feeling. Thanks Don!
The mighty whitey that makes me laugh
I don’t know what made me come up with that name 🤣
Looking forward to seeing some fieldwork out there in Indianium. In terms of bearing replacement in a disk, I fall in the camp of dropping the whole gang and then disassembling it. I had a bad one last year on my Krause disk, so I just changed both while I had it apart and bought several extras from Krause so I have them in stock for next time. And I feel your pain regarding the bird crap. Those barn swallows wreak havoc here in any building without doors. They should make paint or some kind of coating out of bird crap because it sure can be hard to get off a surface.
I guess I could get a bunch of snakes maybe they would eat the birds. Then I’ll have to find something to eat the snakes, and then something to eat that thing…..🤣🤣🤣
@@rosstheoliverman Yeah, it's never ending.
What kind of bad stories?
Oh if only people knew what was in my brain 🤣
The greatest gift is the ability to forget - to forget the bad things and focus on the good.
I just live my life to try to be happy
@@rosstheoliverman 🤣🤣🤣 president of oliver sales forgot his meds that day!
The planting season here in North Carolina seems to have turned out the same as in your area. We had some guys jump out there early and the corn seemed to take forever to come up. Some started later and some are just now starting. It stayed cool for a lot longer than normal and guys didn't know what to do. My grandpa always said, when you think you are ready to go to the field, wait a week and then go. Can't wait to see that 4-180 turning some dirt.
Thanks! I can’t wait either. But I’m thinking I made the right choice. Time will tell.
Anticipation of working in the field, I remember it still after all these years.
It’s kind of stressful not being able to go when you want
👍👍
Thanks!
👍👍
Thanks Tom!
Doggone Click Bait🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
great video
Power shift is sweet.
It’s really handy!
In the hills I farmed I don't think I would want the free-wheeling "Under" side of the three speeds.
👍
Another good one. A little work to do, maintenance wise, but then you should be ready to go. Good luck. No issues hopefully.
Thanks Keith!
Great video Ross , thanks for taking us along. Can’t wait for tillage.God Bless.
Thanks Mark!
Fun stuff, Mr. Ross
Thanks!
