    This is exactly what I have been looking for! You answered many of the questions I have regarding why my recovery is like it is. I just raked leaves with my husband, and I got dizzy and my abs felt so worn out! I slowed down then came inside and found your video! Whew! I’m only 5 weeks post laparoscopy gallbladder removal surgery and I was told to avoid sit-ups, but was not sure what I could do. Thank you so much!!!!

    Hi Laura, thank you for creating the recovery series of videos. I have subscribed to the goaimpli channel since my kidney transplant surgery 7 weeks ago. I strated off with your series of videos in week 4 with my surgeons approval and have since work with your videos, started spin biking, and light dumbbells. I attribute my recovery to your videos and wanted to send you a sincere thank you. I’m looking st returning to the gym and works in early August .

    Awesome workout and just perfect for me. Had an abdominal hysterectomy 6 weeks ago and got the all clear from my doctor to resume exercising. I was uncertain of where to start but this video is perfect.....just the right amount of challenge yet easy on the abs. Thanks for sharing! God bless.

    I too have been recovering from my laproscopic surgery, it's been 5 weeks now. I've had this strong urgency to move around but didn't want to compromise my abdomen. Besides a few flair ups; I've been feeling about 90% better. I am so ready to get my life back on track. THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU for making this video!!

      I am so happy that you found this video useful! I fully understand how challenging it is to recover from laparoscopic surgery...especially once you start to feel the urge to get moving again:) It will come...I promise. It's so hard to be patient, however you will be glad you took things slowly and gave your body the time it needed to heal fully. Good luck!

    My problem is, I’m 9 weeks post op, but I had to have 5 surgeries in 9 months. 4 were emergency. I had a Crohn’s related bowel perforation, ignored it for 24 hrs because our hospital’s ER is pretty terrible, and I went into septic shock. I have a lot of scar tissue in my muscles. My last surgery removed most of it, but I can still feel some spots that have pulling. I have a scar from the base of my sternum to below my panty line, and several small scars from drains and other stuff. However I healed much faster than expected. I wasn’t supposed to walk without assistance again. I was doing that short distance, a week out of the coma. Doctors have cleared me to do what I feel I can try. The problem is, I was highly athletic. Off trail steep hiking. 10+ mile bike rides. Advanced yoga. Archery. Belly dancing. My problem that I’ve found this past week is that I don’t know what ‘beginner’ means, but I’m definitely gonna try these. I pulled my ab muscles last week, getting groceries out of the car, and I hate this.

    • @gosimpli
      @gosimpli  3 роки тому

      Oh my goodness! I am sorry to hear of how much you have had to suffer through! This will get better with time. Knowing where to start when you were at such a high level of athleticism is a challenge. My advice would be to start with exercises that you feel would be WAY too easy. If you can do those without pain then keep adding on. It will be a slow climb toward your new normal, but you will get there!

    Hi Lar. I've been looking for exercises of this calibre for quite a while now. So glad to have found you. I had a full hysterectomy with a long c section scar 8 months ago. What advice would you give for this series of c section exercises along with cardio exercise? It would be great to know a work out that I can do daily which is easy on my tummy and still allows me to keep fit. Thank you in advance.

    • @gosimpli
      @gosimpli  4 роки тому +1

      Now that you are several months past your c-section, if you are feeling well, you should definitely be doing some cardio with these abdominal exercises. I would honestly start with walking and as soon as that feels very comfortable I would include any low impact cardio exercises. Weight training would be the last to be added...started with seated/chair weighted exercises. I have a while playlist of seated muscle conditioning workouts that you can check out. I hope this helps! Good luck.

    • @gosimpli
      @gosimpli  6 років тому

      Don't do anything that hurts. You should probably return to your doctor just to make sure everything is ok. Likely you need to slowly rebuild your abdominal muscles. Stay away from traditional push ups for now. Instead try doing push ups against a wall.

    • @gosimpli
      @gosimpli  4 роки тому

      That is quite a surgical procedure. I would definitely wait another 4 weeks and then check with your doctor. You do not want to cause any internal damage. In the meantime, do lots of walking and deep breathing exercises. This will help with longer term recovery, injury prevention and have you doing workouts sooner. This particular abdominal video is intended for those who are about 6 weeks post-operation. Good luck with your continued healing!! :)

      I would definitely check with your doctor before you start any form of exercise. You do not want to risk causing injury and making your recovery longer! Yes...any exercises will help you to loose weight. This video will also help to tighten the muscles around your core that have weakened following surgery.
