    I have been listening to this genre of music for a long long time. Starting with Tangerine Dream then Klaus schultze and Tim Blake. This performance prooves Robert should be considered right up there with these great artists. So many layered textures and themes....astral to native american. Genius

      You should listen to Steve Roach. I don't like all his stuff, but his high's (Like "A Deeper Silence") are really high.

    I listen to A Somnium Continuum every night as I fall asleep. I get 6 hours of sleep every day and it's very nice waking up to it still going with two hours left. Robert Rich never ceases to just absolutely stun me.

    I had the privilege to see Robert in concert about 8 years ago in a small church in Sherbrooke, Quebec. A very intimate event and quite an unforgettable experience!

    The first music our brand new daughter heard was Perpetual.
    She lasted 18 minutes before falling asleep. Now, more than a year later and we're watching this together.
    Brilliance.

    Dear Robert, this music has been written for the kingdom of the Gods, and I think that it must be listened from a superb HI-END sound system.
    I've just tried to do it at home this night and I got into a state of trance....
    Thank you VER MUCH for creating a masterpiece like his, we love you !!....

    Incredible. I've been listening to Robert's music for years since early 90's, perhaps even late very late 80's and have never been disappointed. Each album feels different, reveals itself slowly and envelops with ethereal ambience. I love the way his music creates space: This recording has some of my favorite pieces. I'd love to see you live in or around Chicago. Thank you for your music!

    Robert, if you see this, I just want to thank you for doing what you do and let you know you have people listening in the far north of Scandinavia. This is an absolutely magical performance, I admire your way of working with the instruments. Through the years, your music has always helped me connect with nature and with an inner peace that keeps me going. "The Other Side Of Twilight" always takes me to the place I want to be. There are many beautiful things in this world I cherish and your music is definitely one of them.
    ~Greetings from Sweden

    As usual with artists such as yourself, your art has a life of its own. It ramifies out into the world, entraining events and forming contexts you will never be apprised of. People have been altered by what you do. Their lives have been operated on. The entirety of the consequences can never be comprehended by anyone, let alone you. They are still unfolding, and will continue to unfold long after you are gone.
    I hope you're happy with yourself. You damn well should be.

    Thanks very much for making your concert video available on UA-cam. It is very appreciated. This does make me realize that I'd also be willing to pay to attend performances via live streaming or even after the fact such as this. I don't know if you have thought of this possibility, but please do consider it.

    Jag såg och hörde källor med chokladmjölk som sprang från hennes paradis, utan att skratta började stjärnorna bråka och slutade rulla och vi tog tag i deras guld i gryningen. Solen yr och månen, rörd, gömde sig bakom en del moln i form av en barbapapa 🔥🦄

    Hey Robert, have you ever thought about issuing some of your albums in vinyl format? I'd love to own a copy of ''Trances/Drones'' in vinyl. I guess it's not something very viable/profitable economically for independent artists?
    cheers

    • @BruecknerAmbient
      @BruecknerAmbient 7 років тому +3

      "Premonitions 1980 - 1985" actually has been released on vinyl (only, as far as I know) - see here:
      robertrich.com/premonitions-1980-1985-is-here/
      While it's not "Trances/Drones" it has a lot of material that I personally like just as much (if not even more...).
      .

    • @RobertRichMusic
      @RobertRichMusic  7 років тому +2

      As Michael says, there's Premonitions 4LP set on VoD. Apparently only about 50 copies left as of Jan 2017. The original release of Numena was on vinyl in 1987. Most of my other titles don't lend themselves to the format - too long, for example.
