I've been terrified of nuclear war since reading Revelations as a very young boy, probably 7 or 8 years old. When T2 came out and had the dream sequence, I fully realized the nightmares I had as a younger boy were in fact Nuclear war. Nuclear war... Final answer.
Yeah that’s pretty terrifying, I’ve been reading “The Pentagons Brain” by Annie Jacobsen and it goes into the history of military science and how in 1960 NORAD almost launched like 100 nukes because the radar system mistakenly thought “THE MOON” was 100 Russian nukes coming at us. Thankfully because the system does NOT run in AI, a human went outside and SAW the full moon, decided not to launch a retaliation strike and then they discovered their radar system was more sensitive than they realized, it has since been fixed. Prettt wild, also the internet was invented cause someone at DARPA lied to a pentagon official to get $1,000,000 more funding on their project by promising an interconnected computer system so the military could operate more efficiently, then when the money was granted they had to actually figure out how to do it, ICPIP was born and now you’re watching me make dioramas and talk about childhood fears…thanks DARPA! 😆
Your work is fantastic and I also highly recommend any young people reading this to actually stand up for yourselves. Even if you know the outcome won’t be ideal it’s better to establish yourself as someone who won’t be walked on to avoid nearing your 40’s and still being consumed by your childhood trauma. I took some beatings as a kid but I always immediately stood my ground so they are fond memories instead of something that consumes my mind and shapes my identity. Never let yourself become a victim, it’ll become a lifelong crutch.
Yes repressed memories of sra have always had me terrified as i was through extensive treatment allowed to remember the terrible things done to me and others in the residential school in kamploops in the mid 60s. The therapy i get from the stuff i learned on your channel and put to practical use has helped me relax and get though some tough memories and get me thinking of better things thanks.
This is incredible work! I’m doing a space station/sci-fi diorama at the moment, you’ve definitely given me some inspiration to try out some new things with mine. I love all the angles and shapes you built into the walls, and the idea of a “face” on the door was great. I, too, had some nightmares about the Aliens as a kid. But my main antagonist was Freddy Krueger, which was particularly awful because I knew enough about the character to know that he only gets you in your sleep. So being a little kid and dreaming about the ugly guy who gets you while you’re sleeping? Absolutely harrowing. Then I watched the movies as a teenager/adult and they’re ridiculous, I love them haha. Excellent diorama man. You never cease to inspire!
This looks great! It's inspiring me to do an Ark / Nemesis backdrop for my Autobot/Decepticon collection. I'd love to see your take on an Ark backdrop for Transformers.
Thank you, and wow yeah the elephant man, that’s a rough situation for the guy, and when you’re young and don’t understand medically what’s going on it’s hard to wrap your brain around things like that
There is only one movie I saw a child that scared me I have not returned to. I've avoided horror/scary movies since I was 10. Goonies is the first that comes to mind. It bothered me because gave me feelings of being lost and a sense of claustrophobia. I have not seen it since I was 5. Aleins was another movie that really scared me. I managed to watch that a few years ago, but I've never seen the first Alien film. Another was the first Gremlins. I watched that, and it was not as bad as I remembered.
I completely understand your fear, as for me I grew up in the EARLY 90'S in the time when resident evil and silent hill first came into our beautiful lives lol. I can play resident evil all day no problem I love the series and have a blast playing the game. as for silent hill, well not so much. I don't know wtf it is about that series that just gives me the eebie jeebies. like I can watch people play it and I love the movies, but I cannot play the games by myself. there just this unsettling feeling I get when thinking of the damn series lol. any ways, awesome build homie and keep the awesome content coming. Iam learning a lot from watching your videos so again thanks.
Amazing video and some awesome tips sir!!👏👏👏 growing up I was super scared that gremlins were going to burst out the A\C vents in my bedroom when I was going to sleep.
Fantastic! Great intro, scared the bejeebus out of me. The the worn-off paint look was super-effective. I checked Lowes Online and Amazon and couldn't find a listing for that flexible 1/8th inch Expanded Sheet Styrene you used. It looks perfect for an upcoming project. It kind of looks like EVA foam. Could you tell me where you get yours? Thanks.
My two recurring nightmares as a child was 1. A cannibal witch stalking me, as I run from her. 2. Running/jumping over endless wholes in the ground, while they get bigger and bigger, until I die of exhaustion or just full into a whole, too big to jump over. But what I was scared of awake was very normal things: random men talking to me on the street, heights, knives, old dead women appearing in the shower... you know normal things...🤷♀️
Excelente! Diorama.. tienes un gran talento.. solo te pido un favor , un poco mas despacio o explicalo como para principiantes. Saludos! Desde Perú y te felicitó.. tienes un gran talento.
If being a teenager still counts then it's literal babies. Tip of the day: If the young adult/ child in your life is adamant about not wanting to hold their shrieking newborn nephew for a picture DO NOT FORCE THEM. 21 years later and I still have nightmares and auto terror reactions to anything baby.
I fear bearded millennials who talk way too much
Well then…FEAR ME!!!!!
For me was balloons
By recreating them of course…… great!

We all need something neutral or positive to keep our hands, hearts and heads busy. I appreciate this comment. Thank you and I’m happy you’re here.

And this is why you are the master.

Thank you! I get mine from a local plastics supplier called TRIPP plastics, just Google “plastic suppliers near me” and see what comes up
@@OilersWorkshop Thank you so much!
The mysteries of the ocean and space. Not a nightmare but sometimes the ocean or space and the mystery of it are kinda creepy.
Yeah I am totally with you on that, I do suffer from a bit of thalassophobia myself
@@OilersWorkshop Oh dang sorry about that.
Omg this is amazing!!
The leprechaun… to this day that little fella terrifies me beyond belief
He’s a creepy one
I fear baby dolls. Even though I made one in school from liquid porcelain, sanded it, painted it. STILL couldn't sleep with it in my room!!!
That sounds horrifying
This is a fantastic build! 👏 👏👏
Glad you like it!
Nice beard, Oiler. 👍🏽
Haha! I just got a haircut, I'll try to keep it tidy for the next video.
Absolutely remarkable 👏 👌 🙌 👍 ❤️ 😀
Many thanks
Monsters under the bed. I still jump off the bed so nothing grabs me😅
Yeah I gotta hide my arms under the covers, can’t have anything hanging over the edge for “big chap” to grab
This is great!!!
Thank you

Wow, bad dreams. Old dead women in the shower? You must be a Kubrick fan, normal
Great video except for the end in which your links covered the still of the finished diorama :P
My bad

Thank you, I’ll try my best next time
Need that in1/12
Not the first time I’ve heard that 😄
I have a recurring nightmare of being hit by a train. I've had since I was 5.
Well…punch the train! Scare it away!
I thought the door looked like RX-78-2's Shield
Neato
I have never liked clowns, to this day anything clown related set me on high alert.
Clowns are definitely weird

Hmmm, that’s an interesting one
Childhood fear: hard work! It still plagues me.
Also, thanks for expanding my vocabulary: I'd always thought that a buttress was a female buttock :-)
😆😆😆 wow! Well hard work can feel good after it’s done
