    Jordan, your videos are honestly some of the best diorama videos on UA-cam. You have so much knowledge and do such a good job of teaching people what you know. Great video!

    This looks fantastic. Thank you for sharing the techniques. I don’t know why, but I especially enjoy creating heavily rusted-over diorama environments. Add some overgrown weeds, and it’d be the perfect picnic spot for a postapocalyptic rusty bbq.

      @@OilersWorkshop dude, you've inspired me to make brick buildings, warehouse interiors, and just recently a kitchen interior for a shot I needed for a stop motion project I'm doing. So I'm sure I'll try my hand at this as well. Thank you!!

      @@OilersWorkshopYou inspired me. I'm thinking of doing something similar as a backdrop for my Cosmic Legions figures.

    Love how this looks. Really great work. My question is, I use a lot of insulation foam as my base, so as far as priming what would you recommend? I know spray paint ends up corroding the texture of foam a little, I’m wondering if it’s better to build on a fiber board like you’ve done here and then mount it to the foam.
    Anyway, love seeing this come together. Really cool!

    • @OilersWorkshop
      @OilersWorkshop  9 місяців тому +1

      You can build on fiberboard that way, but if you coat the foam with 3 thin coats of acrylic paint as a base, you’re safe spraying with spray paint lightly, I would do this on a small piece of foam to get the feel for it first

    Ever thought about putting one of the sub-panels on canted to give it that "mickey mouse" repair job look? It would give more of an emphasis that things have really gone down hill in the future. Nice work.

    Not a critique, just a question: Do you have a preference for the metallic spray-paint to do the metal spots as opposed to using something like Rub N Buff? I've had good luck with that achieving a similar result, but I don't know if there was a difference in result I might not know about.

    • @OilersWorkshop
      @OilersWorkshop  9 місяців тому

      I use ALL materials, there isn’t any that are better than the others, in this case spray paint is faster, I forgot I even had rub n buff, harder to do Miniature scratches with rub n buff sometimes, spray paint does it all 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s really just what you have and preference. I use EVERYTHING
