El Paso has been great. It has grown and expanded so much. Great place to raise a family. Retired here and don’t plan on leaving. There are plenty of things to do you just have to step out your comfort zone.
Exactly, love this comment! Getting out of your comfort zone will allow you to make any place a better place.
I moved from Atlanta to El Paso , after 2 years I'm going back to ATL.
Wages were way lower than ATL and it was harder for me to survive, I was coming out under- weekly- monthly etc
Tax in my house was 4,800 for a house valued at 155,00 in the lower valley.
I hear you, definitely helps to ensure you have your home stead exemption. Congress recently passed a bill which will help tremendously with taxes, originally the tax exemption only covered up to 40k of the value of the home, now it’s up to $100k 🙏🏻
it’s helping a lot of families, happy to help if you have any questions!
Same here. We came from California, and the wages here are meager, and most jobs do not give you full-time. The lack of diversity was also prominent. We plan on moving to a larger city in Texas or possibly Atlanta.
It really depends what industry you’re pursuing.
I believe anywhere you go, you will always be compensated in direct correlation to your skills.
Take Atlanta for example :
As of April 2023, the cost of living can vary widely between cities due to factors like housing, transportation, groceries, and healthcare. Generally, Atlanta, Georgia, is known to have a higher cost of living compared to El Paso, Texas. This is largely due to higher housing and transportation costs in Atlanta.
1. Housing: Atlanta’s housing market is more expensive than El Paso’s. The median home cost is significantly higher in Atlanta compared to El Paso. Renting in Atlanta is also typically more expensive, with costs varying greatly depending on the neighborhood.
2. Transportation: Atlanta might have higher transportation costs due to the necessity of commuting longer distances and potentially higher fuel and vehicle maintenance expenses.
3. Groceries and Healthcare: Grocery and healthcare costs in Atlanta are also likely to be higher than in El Paso, but the difference may not be as pronounced as it is for housing and transportation.
4. Utilities and Miscellaneous: Utilities (like electricity, heating, cooling, water, garbage) and other miscellaneous costs (such as dining out and entertainment) can also contribute to the overall higher cost of living in Atlanta compared to El Paso.
Bottom line, all places that pay you more in terms of hourly wages will always have a higher cost of living. That’s the unique aspect about El
Paso, most people start up business on the side and end up leaving their 9-5 to become entrepreneurs which really seems to take of due to the support of the community (if you get involved enough to bring exposure to your business). Most of us who are born and raised here definitely see the growth and opportunities. Hope this help at least gain some perspective 😀
Exactly, I knew these numbers where way off 😅
Great presentation by a natural sales-person. Don't listen to the haters Alexa.
I appreciate your support ✨🦋
Great presentation and enjoyed the charts, this is a must making any sort of major transaction.
Ciao Bellisima
We're glad that this was useful, please let us know if you need anything :)
I'm comfortable living here with my fam of 4. Born in EP, left for 10 years and came back.
I'd say for an engineer here it is hard to find a career that pays a worthy skillset. I work remote/from home which works out but if I didnt, not sure if we'd still be here.
Also the cost of living stated is a bit off...
OH and I HATE TX property taxes. Might just relocate a few miles away an into New MExico!!
really helphul for people who need help to mobe jus if you can do one or have one more recent, because I think prices incresed or mentione please, the inreased porcentage on this years
Definitely will do a new update soon, thank you for watching 😀

I was interested in moving to ELP from Utah, because I thought it would be a lower COL, but now I'm not sure. In my experience, Utah comes in a little bit lower in everything you listed:
House payment: $2,000 for 2,500 sq ft
Electric: $75-100
Gas: $40-75
Water: $20-50
Guess I'm stuck here lol
Hi Jimmy, COL in El Paso is very similar to Utah. In terms of my comparison, we are a family of 5 and I charge my car at home, definitely plays a huge part in my electric bill😅, it definitely works out for me since I still save more compared to the cost of gas prices (I’m always driving). Hope this helps!
It’s a nice city but the low wages really drag it down that’s why people move back to where ever they came from
What are the details on the house that’s you filmed this video from? Sqft of land and living space, bedrooms and bathroom… looks so nice with an elegant taste.
Hi! @elianapayan6764. The details for this listing are as follows:
Apx Sqft - Main: 4,631

I am from PHX AZ. I would love to move to El Paso. But the property taxes are too high. It's almost like being exported. What is the state income tax there in El Paso. How does it even out?
Hello :) Thank You for watching the video, we appreciate the support. Yes ,we have heard from clients that have the same feeling however when it comes to income tax it is going to be around 6.25% and it is one of the things that actually helps with the improvement of schools, neighborhoods which definitely helps ensure that the area is invested in. An $18 billion tax break package by the Legislature this year will mean that most El Paso Homeowners will see the school property taxes, drop by hundreds of dollars. And for qualifying Seniors, the exemption reduces the property tax on the primary residence by exempting 50% of the first 200,000 in market Value.
The property taxes in Texas are high, but there is no state income tax in Texas.

Just the house payment in that house probably is around 6k a months or more
Many factors play at the monthly payment, Depending on your down payment and interest rate or buyer buy down this can vary but it’s definitely an accurate estimate.
There’s people earning over 50k months, at which point it’s a lot more understandable to spend 6k on a mortgage😅
The salaries are too low, 11 or $12 dollars when you earn well
Definitely some places pay too low, however thankfully there’s a lot of opportunities for growth. I came from earning $16k a year, dedicated time to service people and that definitely changed dramatically. 🙏🏻
Unfortunately I don’t make 50 k a month lol more like around 20
lol I hear you 😅
The cost of living in el paso compared to Australia is completely different. Australia is expensive
I've definitely heard that from other clients, we appreciate your comments, Thank you for watching. :)
I left EP almost 25 years ago. Never looked back. Not sure much has changed in EP.
I left El Paso 40 years ago, best decision ever.
A lot has definitely changed, but I hear you El Paso isn’t for everyone. There’s actually a lot to do close proximity to El Paso but most people don’t go explore. If your looking for a affordable place to live and still have close proximity to places such as Ruidoso New Mexico to go snowboarding, places to go hike such as Guadalupe mountains, hueco tanks, Franklin mountains (to name a few) and amazing cuisine, its definitely a great place to live.
@@humbertovazquez3733some things good some not so good
At least we are not being charged for the rain water that comes off the mountains
Roger's was a funny man
@@humbertovazquez3733: to where ?
You changed EP for what ?
El Paso is not Texas! Move to San Antonio!
Not sure if you’re familiar with geography, however El paso is MOST definitely Texas. Have a great day 👍🏻
Terrible presentation too much use of the word " obviously", expand her vocabulary. Also keep her hands from getting in the way of the presentation. All in all I would not move to el paso. She makes the city's cost of living sound like Beverly Hills and unless your very wealthy you do not belong in el paso. Try again and gear the presentation to a more realistic audience and not one that a get rich quick one. Just an opinion.
Obviously, I’m not everyone’s cup of tea. With that being said, El Paso is nowhere near the cost of living in Beverly Hills. It’s astonishing how people who only spectate love to criticize people who are in the arena trying to make content to help folks who truly need more guidance. We work with clients in ANY price point, don’t be so quick to assume based on what you objectively want to see, this is a video intended to help people compare. Regardless thank you for watching and hope you have a fantastic day. 💫
Don’t Hate appreciate.
