Thank you for another excellent reaction to Angelina. This performance is her tribute to Whitney Houston, one of her idols. She sang it in the same key as Whitney, who was a natural soprano, even though her natural voice is that of a contralto. Some of those commenting had suggested that she did so, as there had been comments suggesting that she was unable to "belt" - a technique used by many singers. Whatever the reasons, this performance proved beyond doubt that "belting" was well within her capabilities. Unlike many present day artist, Angelina chooses only the techniques in her musical toolbox which she determines are necessary to tell the story within a song.
