As long as you are still alive, it's not too late.
If you're good looking it works as it is believable and congruent as you have high social status. If you're not attractive it will just backfire as it make you look delusional and insane. Women don't care so much how you approach as they care more who approaches. They won't admit it because it makes them look bad and shallow. If you're good looking you can get away with a lot luke Juan and hot chicks. An ugly dog would be seen as creepy but with Juan its seen as cute and funny.
