I have a Duplex and I have also had issues with condensation. It only happens when it’s raining really hard and I have both doors completely closed. I also have my dog Maggie so that adds to the mix. If it’s not raining I always keep at least one door open on each side. I never any issues this way. I think it’s a single wall tent issue. I never had any issues with any of my traditional tents. Take care
Great job, and congrats. I'm headed out to do the CT next August, then jump right over and finish the part of the AZT that I did not complete because of injury. Made it 688 miles, then had to get off trail...... Keep up the good work!!
Yo man... nice to hear from ya! You animal!! I honestly don't think I could do the AZT because of how dry that damn trail looks lol.. I think you'll really love the CT though. Let me know if you have any questions on it!!
so-- cold soaking--- I was going to jetboil- but it looks like it can save a ton of weight by not-- what did you eat? (I also have 3 boys to feed- so taste matters a bit)
Cold soaked ramen was awesome! Any flavor...you also can't beat cold soaked oatmeal for breakfast IMO. I brought the Idahoan potatoes and got sick of them after the 2nd day lol and couscous wasn't good at all to me. I bet you could find some creative ideas! Other people talked about beans, but I couldn't find the rehydrate type!
@@ChadLubinski Another shout out to the Columbia Silver Ridge shirts! I sectioned hiked the CT last summer (SoBo to the CW/CE split) and ended up wearing the same shirt the whole time. Bought another just in case so I could continue with the same shirt in this years hikes. Haven't gotten to get back to the CT and ripped one of the shirts last Sat in a mtn bike crash.
@@darrellcaldwell5661 I seriously love that product. I’ve worn it for 3 years now? Over 1,000 miles on it and not even the slightest sign of a hole haha

Perfect I'll start leaving another door open. Thanks man
I loved having my AirPod pros while on the Colorado trail until I lost one at Lenny’s Rest
Dang, isn't Lenny's near the start of the trail??
I just completed the JMT and now I want the CT
Hahaha... right?! Hit me with any questions you have 👍 Congrats on the JMT btw!
My WM Ultralite is going on year 19. Same price then as it is now. Good choice.
LEGIT!! I love that thing!

Thanks man!!
awesome info-- thank you!
You bet!
I'm a fan of the one by GG. Condensation happens in every tent. No biggie to me
Dude! Nice work

We can definitely make this happen haha! Shoot me a message at clubinski10@gmail.com
@@ChadLubinski will do!
What sections are the “cow pond” sections? Thanks! (Loved the video!)
Hey Craig, thanks for watching! I believe it to be around Segments 18-20. I know for sure that it was between Salida and Lake City

Shout out to South Park Brewing around 9:15.
Haha good looks! They came in clutch with some trail magic!

What did you do to make a wind screen? Looked like paint brush bristles.
Yes! It's actually from a "dead cat" microphone cover. Here's the video I found it on:

@@ChadLubinski I'm very new to action cameras, so this is great! Thanks!
What did you use for food storage?

These!
And did you hang as well or where did you store it? Any concern with rodents? I’d resigned myself to the BV500 but hate to carry the extra weight.
