I have an X5 and love it. I'm only an occasional home user with my iphone12pm. I think having 24bit would improve the audio (where many rivals use that).
Just bought one off Ebay but sending it back! The issue is with the receiver and its adaptability using it with action cam or any other type of camera. I use a DJI OSMO 4. On my OSMO 4 I have a cage with a cold shoe mount. FULAIM provides a cold shoe adapter that the receiver attaches to by way of magnetism. However the magnets are very weak and any quick movements or say using it hiking whilst filming results in the receiver falling off the camera! The previous model X5 had a clip on the receiver that could be securely fixed to a cold shoe mount. These type of mics are marketed to be used in a range of environments like hiking, camping and other outdoor activities. The magnetic adapter would only be any use whilst vlogging on a desk at home. I can imagine even in strong winds the receiver is going to blow off? This is a design weakness and actually is a retrograde design development. There is no point including accessories that are supposed to make the mic adaptable to different uses and environments if they don't do the job? The rest of the system is good.

I bumped into Fulaim X5M by chance through an ad in Instagram (OMG… yeah it happened), and I got crazy seeing a promo price of 89 euros for what looked like a DJI Mic 2 to me. I guess they do that in purpose? 😂 “no way, really?” Anyway, then I watched a review comparing the now older X5 but still no X5M against Mic 2. Hmm let’s check the new model alone and… here I am! Again, great and unbiased review, all aspects that are important to different types of users I’d say. For wha I need, I’m gonna go with the X5M - have just purchased them. Yo, they should have brought up a 32 bit float audio. The wireless market is getting competitive and this could have beena game changer at a great price
You aren't getting 2 mics with 32 bit float for less than 200 bucks. That stuff is expensive to implement. Maybe in a couple of years. But they will still need to be paired with good ADCs otherwise the sounf will still be kinda meh
Love review and style bro. I bought the smaller ones x3 I believe and I am not sure whether to return them and get the X5M - main use case is when we have 2 people (podcast/interview style). From your experience with these, have you been able at the level of each mic separately? Second question is: how are they with louder voices? I’ve noticed a lot Wireless mics clip with my voice even when set at the lowest input level.
@@bahatashani2038 I found that with the X3’s even on the lowest volume they still clip with a lot of people’s voices. I love the size of those things but wish you had more control of the volume. The X5 and X5M have like 4 or 5 different levels and I find that the lowest and do the rest on the camera works well. I don’t think you can get better features and quality in this price range.
This is the worst lav system... cuts out everytime I'm walking and talking... anytime I'm moving the camera and talking it cuts out... not reliable what so ever... skip this one and just buy the DJI Mic 2 you won't look back

How is the volume on IPhone (13). Has it been upgraded? Since the volume with iOS is a lot lower than android mobile .
