Don't listen to the beard haters 😄 from one bearded bloke to another, yours looks good
Good comprehensive vid, definitely intrigued by this mic set
Haha thanks 😄
My X5 isn't as rich as your Un modified demo. I have to add some bass EQ. I use it with my iphone12pm.
How a mic sounds very much depends on the type of voice and the space it’s being recorded in. And there are potentially minor differences between the capsules of the mics (any mic, unless really high end).
But if all you need to do is add some bass in EQ, I’d say that’s great! 🙂
@@RedFrameTech Listening to a number of reviews of the Hohem M1 I've been auroras by the difference in the frequency response. The first two sounded very rich (more so than my Fulaim) but other were about the same. Makes it difficult to compare!!! Thanks.
@@WillNewcombyeah, different voices, different spaces.. microphone comparisons are difficult if you can’t try them all yourself 😅
@@RedFrameTech Absolutely! This is why audio comparisons are so helpful in determining different characteristics even though they're still dependent on individual circumstances.
I add a bit of base for my X5 in Lumafusion EQ. Very happy with it.
I paid it. The microphone does not work with the android adapter. I have tried different android apps, different app settings, different smartphones, but it's no use. Does not work when connected to an android smartphone. Maybe it is only my issue.
Sorry to hear that! I would suggest contacting Fulaim. Maybe you have a faulty unit
@@RedFrameTech I figured it out. it doesn't work on samsung smartphones. to make it work on samsung, you need to add power to the power bank.
@@pshyk that’s good to know. Thanks for sharing!
Have you tried using a cable connection through the 3.5mm output? This works with my iPhone also.
all ok now. my phone update and all works now.@@WillNewcomb
Mine didn’t come with wind covers
Sorry to hear that. Perhaps contact Fulaim about the missing covers. They should be included
@@RedFrameTech haha I didn’t dig deep enough I found them. Man these things are great for the price
They are, right? Glad you found the covers 🙂
Nah, couldn't understand any of that due to your beard. 😂😉 Nice review bud. Gonnae get the other half to get me this for Xmas. Need an external mic for my DJI Osmo Action.
😂
I’m sure you’re going to like this piece of kit!
Does anybody know of a seller on Amazon or elsewhere that sells the windscreen for a reasonable price? With a compatible mount that locks on it, because they're not using the DJI mount.
Fulaim sells them on their website
Great succinct information, thank you! If you do grow your beard to ZZ Top length, you could clip the mic to your beard and your beard would act as a windscreen. 😂
I’m gonna have to try that at some point 😂
what is that static noise in the background
That’s the fans of my key light and atomos ninja v
Main reason I wouldn't buy and try this mic is because they put the LED lights at the front visibly--so stupid. Thanks for the review.
Agreed! Let’s hope manufacturers stop doing that
@@RedFrameTech I just rewatched the part where you talked about the flashing LED lights, so you DID commented on it as well. Btw I think your beard looks great and serves as a great windscreen from your breath to the microphone. I would have put the LEDs on the back and company name/logo on the side or back as well. I eschew Rode mics because of their conspicuous logo on their products. Again, thanks for the review.
@@sung_yunThanks 🙂
Yeah, Rode is the worst. I hate how the transmitters look
