- We had so much fun going to the Badlands last year that we thought we would do it again. This year we are headed to the UP of Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and back. WOW. I make the trip in a J30 Infiniti which uses the venerable Z32 engine and is actually a brilliant cruiser. Ethan takes his new 300SL . Stay tuned and watch for live updates in my Instagram Story.
As an owner of a J30 with 54,000 miles, I ask that you post as much as you can on your J as well. Not enough youtube content on these cars. Other fun facts:
True dual exhaust, multi-link rear suspension, tail happy, harvested for parts by 240sx'ers and my favourite is that it was offered with a V8 (from the Q45) but in Japan only. Speaking of Japan, this generation of Leopard sold under 3000 units making it pretty rare over there. Since the car was designed by a California studio, it sold much better over here but the sales were still poor vs its competition and the values plummeted which put them in the hands of non-enthusiasts. Fast forward almost 30 years and only a small handful of mint examples remain.

I own a 1997 J30. That car is a lot of fun! I always had a soft spot for these machines since high school.
I have a 1997 j30 same white color with 162k miles and still runs fairly smoothly

@@TimsEnthusiastGarage and I bet she still smooth just the way they idle and sound idling is everything, I love when the AC on and the fan clutch roar , I have had mines for 10 years and she never disappoint
@@LeemWills I’m about to sell it. It’s like, ridiculously smooth. These cars should have had a much wider audience. We had a legend recently, also mint, but we liked this more

Tim, I’m taking 30 seconds out of the Inauguration to ask if you’ll be doing this again this year and, assuming the pandemic is behind us, whether strangers can take part. Hoping so. Seems like a blast and I need an excuse to buy something interesting all be it very cheap.
