- The plaintiff says the defendant is his sister. He claims he bought a car from her, but it’s a giant lemon and she won’t take it back. He’s suing for a refund. The defendant says her brother drove the car and worked just fine, and she had to go to the cops because the plaintiff and his wife were harassing her.

The show covers the judgement. Both parties are paid for their appearance & if a judgment is award the show covers it.

well, she has a judgment against her in her jurisdictional court, even though the Show pays, this is now a Court record, she doesn't walk away unscathed. 😀
The defendant needs to stop lying. She was trying to speak carefully to avoid incriminating herself, but there was no way around it. Sounded like a bunch of gibberish! Glad Judge Milian has experience in these situations and looked closely at the title. #StopLying

I bought a car one time from a private party who was jumping title. I knew nothing about that phrase. I went to DMV to get it registered, found out it wasn't his to sell, they told me to get papers from title holder, which was hard to run down, did it, then the man that I bought from called and yeld and screamed at me. He must have gotten in trouble. Yay!! Not sure of his repercussions but I hope he got into trouble. OMG, I just looked it up. It's a felony in my state.

What a frickin liar, you can sell a car with a title not in your name. What happened is she bought the car and the previous owner signed the title but she never did anything with it. She can still sell it but it's illegal to do in most states without a dealer license.
These people never answer questions and it's so irritating.

I think they got lucky. They knew it wasn't in her name. People flip cars and trailers all the time without putting it in their name first. You just have to make sure the person that is buying it from you understands that when he goes to the DMV that he says he is buying it from the person on the tile. They weren't mad because of a bad title. They were mad about the crap car and got lucky the judge looked at the title.
