I keep coming back to this video because it is so beautiful and so well made. Thanks again guys. When using a pulk (sled) in hilly terrain I suggest using wands that cross (X) so turns are easier. This X'd wand setup also prevents the pulk from tipping to one side on a sharp turn and puts less stress on the wands. Use a 4 cm. rubber O-ring on the intersection of the X'd poles to keep them working better as one unit. Also having a rear "snow brake" helps when stopped on an uphill. It is really an aluminum hinge attached to the rear of the pulk that folds when moving forward and opens flat to help brake the pulk against sliding backward.
A video from our winter camp trip this weekend in a scenery you can only imagine Powdery snow, crisp cold and a blue sky. We used backcountry skis with pulks for our gear and tent. It was magic!!! Hope you enjoy this short video! Best regards Bernt
Fotte greier! Dette ser ut til å være en kanal etter våre hjerter! Super tur dere hadde - vi har fått til flere fine teltturer i vinter vi også. Vi henger med! Hilsen fra Tove of Kaja
+UTE avdelingen - Norway Tusen takk for det Tove of Kaja! :D Flott å telt ute på vintern, håper dere har hatt mange flotte turer. Vi har mer på lager. Sitter å jobber med en film i fra Finnmarksvidda i fra vinteferien.
Hi Vlad! Its a valid point, but no - I trust my burner and make sure Ive got good effect on it, also using the right pots. Never leave it un attended and only for small amount of time. Mostly for cooking ofc.
I have skis similar to yours. Mine are Asnes Combi-Combat Norwegian Army skis which I bought new in Colorado at the only store in the US selling that model. I use Voile release bindings and Scarpa T3 Telemark 3 pin boots with them. The other back country skis that I use here in the western US are my older, shorter and fatter Atomic TM 22 Telemark skis. I also have the same bindings and boots for these skis. These skis are for steeper, mountainous areas where I need more control. I have G3 climbing skins for both sets of skis. My solo winter tent is a Tarptent Moment DW "winterized" with a shortened crossing pole run under the fly to withstand heavy snow loads. This tent's fly edges can be staked down with the 4 fly hem loops I have sewn on. My stove is an MSR Whisperlite Universal in white gas (petrol) mode. Sleeping bag is an LL Bean -20 F. down bag on a Thermarest self-inflating Trail Pro mattress. Pack is a lightweight Osprey EXOS 58 liter internal frame pack with added side pockets.
I think that is not safe to use stove gas inside the tent, because of possible carbon monoxide build up, wich is very dangerous and poisonous. BTW Very nice nature, snow and whole video.
Hope all is well with you and your family.

Thanks for sharing! I wonder, are you guys not concerned wit CO poisoning danger when running the stove inside the tent and not the vestibule?
