Great video as ever. I'm amazed the first nut came loose at all, I doubt you have it but some heat from a oxzy propane torch or a big propane torch can work wonders.
I love a tractor that is Galvanized using Mud! Nice to see a tractor being used to the full and not a show-pony, would love a 135 with. Cab or a 2 series as a little "odd job" tractor or for powering little bits and bobs, like say a log splitter or as a trailer puller. Get a steam cleaner rather than a jet wash, less water and better result
Gotta say right im pretty much a farmer in my heart and i know that a farmer can not afford to go around paying form brand spanking new stuff but also we cant spend a full day on 1 job and funky farmer... Are they freisans?
***** At our farm we do put some grease on them from time to time nothing regular or things like that, but they seams to get worn out after some time ether way.
Trouble is dirt and grit get in the grease and act like an abrasive paste. The wear on this arm looks more likely just ware and tear on something that's been going 40 years.
thefunkyfarmer you should of used a pressure washer to get the manure off the link because it is not good to leave all the manure on there are tractor we use for all the stuff on the farm is used for manure clean out every month in are cow yard witch takes a two day period witch means there is a lot of manure in there and we have to wash it off cause it just clogs every thing up on the tractor
I think it be worth while investing in a pressure washer..
ur videos are great I enjoy watching them every evening keep up the good work.☺☺☺
+thomas Duffy thanks thomas
Thanks for posting Can't wait for part 2
As a farmer it still amazes me who you don't fly off the handle and start cursing 😂
Cathal t Believe me i do, i just don't film those bits!

Paul F your right Paul, wish we had one
great video, just the other day I had to change a link arm on my old grey Ferguson which had snapped in half

This is a great video
If in doubt grinder out .great vid
Brian Murphy love it
thefunkyfarmer hi funky :]
Richard them sort of tractor should keep nice and clean I like a good clean tractor every now and then
That's definitely farmer engineering we do that all the time
You are allowed to grease stuff you know !
Great video :)
Why did you not get the weld on ends
I've welded them before but found that they still break again
thefunkyfarmer and it's probably more easier to just get the whole lower arm
Yes
Dont know if you know the mares family but thats us with holteins... 🐄
connor mates no i don't i'm afraid
Oil type engine???
Gotta say right im pretty much a farmer in my heart and i know that a farmer can not afford to go around paying form brand spanking new stuff but also we cant spend a full day on 1 job and funky farmer... Are they freisans?
connor mates yes they are British Freisians
and thefunkyfarmer the manure is probably what wore the tire out by rubbing on it
question: had those ball sockets been greased with grease instead of shite, would they be as worn out? or its just a fact that they get worn out?

i see. makes sense that grease + dirt will eat the metal. and i did not take in to account the age of the machine.
Should of put the ratchet on the nut instead of the bolt, wouldn't of slipped as easy
I'd say u could do with a power washer☺
+thomas Duffy got one but its not very good
You know you could grind off the ball section snd weld on a new one
+Aaron Fitzsimmons didn't know you could get those bits
You sell it
you shoueldent let the tractor get that muckey it will rust out the whole back end
Well the tractors nearly 50 years old and still sound. I don't think you have to worry about it rusting out, its built to last
i know they are a very good sturdy tractor i have 2 myself but from a mechanical view im just saying it not very good for the tractor

Need a pressure washer and pair of gloves
Would you not of power washed the whole back of the tractor first, it would have made your job a lot easier.
could do with a clean
Could have started the video after cleaning the shit off! Also video moving and noise really annoying.
Guys come on its a scraper tractor nobody cleans it everydayp
the owner dont wash the tractor
sorry but go clean that tractor
